I don't have a legitimate reason as to why other that it's kinda boring that every year we know it'll be Messi/Ronaldo or vice versa starting the draft.

I felt like making a different approach and not go for the obvious choices. Kylian is the hottest prospect around and since I'm completely surrendered to his talent decided to make sure I got him on my team.

Will this choice bring me more or less sympathy in the voting stage? Couldn't care less to be honest, I just want to have fun and build a cool team featuring players I personally rate highly.

No excuses or exceptions for anybody. Each time you are skipped, you lose 1 hour from your 'skip clock', down to minimum of two hours. I didn't want to take Griezmann, but I figure there are only a couple players who play as a creative goal scoring second striker. I looked at who was left and determined that I wouldn't get any of them if I waited. Dybala was one of them. Made the right call. The others are more wingers anyway.

Yeah, I don't think I would have taken Dybala if Griezmann was gone. I was actually kind of hoping he would fall to the second round so I could pair them. I don't think he's yet at Griezmann's level, although he could be one of the best ever before all is said and done. Certainly there were a few players in purple last night that are better than Dybala right at this moment.

E: There are only a handful of world class attackers left. Dybala is one of them. I still think it makes sense to grab him at this point, I just am not sure if I would have personally done it.

No one on that Juve team did themselves proud against Madrid, doesn't mean they're not world class. Dybala already confirmed his stature and ability this season in the Champions League, both with goals and creative play, especially in the knockouts. Aren't you a Barca fan? You should know.
