Never had Verratti before. Thrilled to get him. The two hardest positions to fill in a Conte-esque 3-4-3 are now occupied by Griezmann and Verratti. I'm pretty happy. I would have preferred Kante and Messi, but what are you gonna do.

I like these picks this year! Seems like everyone is taking after my usual strategy of taking young exciting players now. Why draft if you don't like your team?

He's very good, but don't get it twisted, Sir_Didier_Drogba. With Modric and Kroos, any water carrier would succeed in that midfield. Lass Diarra would still be a star behind those two.

I agree. They don't have to do the defensive work as they had to when the midfield was Kroos Modric Rodriguez. That is part of the reason of Real Madrid's success.

I wouldn't call it a stroke of genius, it was quite obvious that Kroos can't sustain what the DM position asks. But gotta give credit to Zidane when he deserves. Casemiro is good, he brought balance to the team, but without any exagerration I think there are at least 10 players in the world who can play in that position and look good with Kroos and especially Modric around.

I take your point, but it's a specialised position, very important to my teams and there are very few of a quality I am satisfied with. Maybe your man, but I had him last year.

Happy to see Bale picked, worried he had dropped out of first two round picks.
