Yeah i was thinking something similar. Xabi Alonso's presence is quite integral i think. His absence was felt during the last year's Confederations Cup, the same can be said about Madrid when he's not playing.

It'll be interesting to see Costa up front, if the guy's fully fit of course. Having a quality striker instead of playing Cesc as false nine again sounds positive, but you can't rule out the latter though. : d

Iniesta as LW has never impressed me.

I think it's fair to say that he's done a decent job, since he has mostly been playing on the wing for the national team for quite some time.

Should play Martinez instead of Alonso, Silva instead of Xavi. Tiki taka is dead, go ahead and bury it. Wouldn't hate to see Navas for Pedro either.

True.. I'd like to see Javi in the midfield as well, but his partner should be Xabi who is more experienced, can dictate the tempo of the play better etc.. than Busquets who's more of your tiki taka kind of player who's more useful in keeping possession, i think.

Thinking about it Xavi is another one who has been in decline for the past couple of seasons, but it's more than safe to assume that they're gonna go with their usual midfield at first. And Navas is injured so Spain has no traditional winger this time.
