To edit the initial budgets (that I want very low) do I have to modify this highlighted value?



Cos, I tried to do that but nothing seemed to change..

Exocyst, you could export the table where you modified the initial budgets in a simple file .txt so we can import it in a simple way, without passing us all your db..
So I can study your changes!

For your transfer.ini --> thanks sooo much!! BUT I have noticed that some values are different from the post above:

The values in the transfer.ini are the ones that are correct. I increased the default MAX_CPU_ACCEPTANCE values for subs and reserves from -10 and -15 to -2 and -7. This slows CPU trading of Subs and reserves, but still ensure that they move pretty freely. This is actually important for seeing some big money moves because when I tried positive values here the trading of all three player groups was greatly reduced. I guess the CPU needs to line up replacements to allow big players to leave.

Yes, the transferbudget column is the one you want to edit. Remember, if you change the fifa_ng_db.db database, you need to place your edited file within the FIFA12\Game\data\db folder, then regenerate, and start a new Manager Mode with "Current Customized" squads for the changes to be utilized.

I will try to post a text file with my edited tranferbudget column like you suggest.

Yes, you edit the values in The fifa_ng_db.db database from data0.big using DBM 12. If you put the edited fifa_ng_db.db in the right folder inside you FIFA12 directory then it should be used after you regenerate. But, you need to choose "Current Customized" when starting a new mananger mode in order for FIFA to use the edited transfer budget values in fifa_ng_db.db

Thanks a bunch for the reply. Does editing these values for the teams change their custom tactic settings? Just curious in case you knew off the top of your head. I will test this tonight after work. Are these teams now being more aggressive and "breaking legs"? There needs to be more fouls or at least more aggression by some teams. I know the CTT for aggression makes them chase you all around, but not sure if it creates more fouls.

I thought I was pointing to the correct database, unless DBM 12 opened another one somehow. I have a backup saved of all my files and not sure if the db saves in multiple locations. After saving it, it looked like the file details reflected the new save date/time. As usual I am doing something wrong, but I will get it working! :)

I always try to look at these files multiple times so I understand things as alot of times I don't, lol. I thought the same as you at first, but there is two sections in the file where they have these values. So the numbers that Exocyst put in his other post are correct. Half of the values go into the first section, and the other half into the second section lower down in the file. Look for the ones strings listed CPU and you will be able to match then up.

I assume the other settings are for the user, maybe if the board decides to sell without you being able to stop it or at least to set parameters of what kind of offers are made to you by the cpu?

Editing these values does improve their fouling, but just a bit. I have found a solution which I like using FidelGameplay's Optimized Gameplay mod. But I think we should open a proper thread about aggressive CPU gameplay before we go to far off topic here. PM me if you want more info on what I have done.

The other settings are for the user, and are very fun to play with. I like to turn their minimum offer for subs and reserves way down to like -50 so that I have to consider some stinking bad offers.

Could you assure me that this is the value that should change?



Because with default db and your db, nothing changed! And I regenerated yes...Even If I set the trasnfer budget to 1 I see deafult value ingame!

Yes I did, but however that window appears before I can select "current customized" !! However then I selected current customized and nothing changed...

Well with your db file It WORKED.

1st, Download and install career mode editor by FidelGameplay.

2nd, download this transfer.ini file.

3rd, Replace the transfer.ini file in FIFA12\Game\dlc\dlc_FootballCompEng\dlc\FootballCo mpEng\data\ with the downloaded version.

4th, Now run regen_admin.exe in the FIFA12 directory to regenerate.

These four steps will adjust the CPU to CPU buy/sell logic to reduce the number of big name transfers.

In addition, you can reduce the starting transfer budgets of all the Oil-rich owned teams by editing the fifa_ng_db.db database.

Here is the link for a table with values that I chose to enforce UEFA Financial fairplay on these clubs.

Nope, It's right..It happened to me also with rna.ini, I had to use a rna.ini created by someone else..boh..

Check the file permissions. I bet FIFA is unable to load your edited files. You should be the owner not administrator.

No problem. It's good to see someone else working on this issue. I had been tweaking my values but never really gotten to a balance I was happy with. I think the problem we will never overcome is that CPU teams don't put any thought (at least not ini configurable) into whether they should sell a player or not. The best we can do is make it more difficult for other CPU teams to buy important players.

I'll be trying your values out in my career mode.

I can't get the database to work either, not sure what I am doing wrong. I am saving the values, it is saved in the right spot I believe, time stamp in explorer shows this, regenerated, made myself the owner of the files. Very odd, will need to read the DBM thread again, maybe I can find some clues.

I did a test sim with a Milan CM up through the end of the August window. The biggest sale was Marcello for 24M, maybe to Lyon. This with the normal game budgets.Gila went from Fiorentina somewhere for 20M, someone else for 22M. Ya Ya Toure went from City somewhere for 17M, thought that was odd and a tad low, but interesting to say the least.

Roma badly wanted Abate from me and kept offering. Got up to 31M and his value is 13M I believe, so that was cool. I kept saying no, but nice to see them keep going after him, it would have been the biggest sale of the period. So that part is very nice, awesome work KK and Exo! :)

Try to change the transfer budget of a team, so you can see esaily if the db is correctly loaded or not just opening a new career.
