How can Iguodala seem so clutch and miss so many frees? Also, is this 'hit this one guy every time they have the ball' a common tactic in the NBA?

Why? That seems unfair that they'd get 4 games.

Also, why have Cleveland stopoed doing that once it became the last 2 minutes?

GSW is a 1, Cleveland is a 2 (Atlanta was the 1 in the East).

If you do that within the last two minutes it's considered an intentional foul.

Playoffs make a lot of money for the league. The Super Bowl being at a neutral site makes sense because it's a one-off in line with the rest of the NFL playoffs, but the other leagues do it differently (and don't even get me started on MLS, they change formats more often than most people change clothes) so it doesn't make as much sense. The gate from 4-7 games is huge for the teams. Plus it incentivizes teams not to take their foot off the gas at the end of the season.

Where, though? Travel is really difficult here because of how big the country is, if it's east of, say, Colorado (unless it was here where we've all but named Steph Curry the King), you'd be giving Cleveland an advantage.

You have to remember, the concept of a "national stadium" or anything like that is pretty foreign here and wouldn't be well received.

They do it in the nfl don't they?

As Bobby said, the Super Bowl is the final game, but all of the other playoff games have homefield advantage awarded for the best record*. I'll flip it around on you, Az, what's the point in having an 82 game season at all if you're not going to reward the teams that do the best?

*not always like this, divisional winners make it not entirely true all the time

Money. The Playoff system produces a ton of it because the games get monster ratings and ticket prices are astronomical.
