The Biggest Patch EVER!

I posted this in another thread, but decided it deserved its own..

Why dont the editors from this forum get together and make ONE superpatch for FIFA?
Yes i know their is heaps of internal bickering, but we could make both 32bit and #GK kits in the patch(with an option to choose which type to use), and with the talent in these forums it could be a truly great patch!
Imagine YJ's stadiums, scmiechal and JJ's 32bit kits, hedgehogs heads, and we may even be able to convince Ariel to let us use some of his stuff in it(cinematics? sms? maybe even 4GK??)
just an idea, i think it could be about the biggest patch EVER, just a matter of whether u ppl really are in it to truly make ppl's fifa experience better, or whether ur in it for the ego boost, when ppl congratulate u. We could edit databases with Fed2002, and Im sure Chau would allow the beta testers to use their beta versions to add players and teams if the need be, and a full release with those options isnt yet available.
Also since the whole community seems to be falling apart lately, i really think it would be a great way to bring everyone back together...

Come on get together, and lets really do something BIG!

Its also something I've thought about alot.

well howzabout, now everyone that wants to be part of it, and thinks that they're good enough to be involved in such a project, put down what areas ud like to help out in.

Ill volunteer for kit making(I dont usually make them anymore, but for such a huge project couldnt say no!), and ill do data aswell.

Once we find who can do what, well decide what we should make.

hmmm..as i thought, everyone seems to be in fifa patching for personal glory..

Anyway, i s'pose it was to be expected in this egotistical community.

Great idea! I would like to make heads and faces. I've made some faces at FIFA FACES, they are not that good but my new faces are great. I'm working on an Arsenal NEOGF Facepack by the way. And about this "badht_mahn 1899", well, just ignore him.

The Fifa scene went down the drain in the last two years . Nobody really wants to share their experiences with other ones. I hope that you don't have Fifatology in such bad thinking.

Yeah the FIFA scene really has gone down hill, in the time ive been part of the online community, its gone noticably down hill.
I think the biggest problem is that everyone is in it for the ego boost. They cant deny it 90% of them have proved it by not wanting to be part of this project.
Anyway, we're starting to get a few names now..

Cool, so thats 3 people now.
XXetBA, daveblondie and me. Now lets see if we can get try and get some more!!! I might speak to some of the SA boys, somebody else can speak to the Soccered guys too if they want?? Ive never gotten on great with them(the soccered boys), and so wouldnt be able to convince them myself i dont think.
I get on fine with the SA boys though, so ill speak to them.
I think if we can get these two groups, we really have the biggest two patch makers in the community, and it should be all down hill from there!

Theres only one problem which i can see, well a couple really, is WHO WILL MANAGE IT, WHO WILL PUT IT ALL TOGETHER AND WHERE WILL IT BE DOWNLOADED FROM, all these things must be resolved before starting , as who ever hosts the patch gets more hits or will the news be on one site or another.

As fifaengland.com i need poeple to make patches, i could take this on if people help there is no rivalary between anyone at fifaengland, Nath works at soccered and also posts news for me ad does stuff, i have ariel help me with other things and i could talkt o him about skills and programs needed, PLUS


Fifaengland used to be named fifapatches.net but was renamed, if you remember a while ago we tryed making the WORLDS BIGGEST PATCH EVER!!! and we would like to try again.

But like i said we need these things resloved first.

Thats true. I remember our Fifatology patch. It's very hard to get the people together in the end phase. And by putting many patches together you may notice compatibility problem which would be very worse.
And as Steve said: Don't forget the traffic, I think such a patch will kick all server performance down (very big + very interesting).


In the moment I'm doing a intership in another town so I got not so much time for Fifa

I would be happy to manage the Human resources side of things, and of course I would recieve NO MORE credit than anyone else involved in the project, a bit like communism really...By organising human resources I mean I would be happy to keep track of who's doing what, and all that kind of stuff. Bringing it all together, would need to be done by someone whoe really knows what theyre doing. I am very keen to ask Ariel for help here, because the plan is to have it so u can either use 32bit kits and the official EA exe, or use a new edited exe, and 4GK kits. This would need someone to make a program, like Ariels for WC, to do this. I think I could make such a program, if I was given the different exe's etc. but I would reather someone else do it.
Now hosting: This patch would be complete FREEWARE (not all parts of it, and not seperatley-but as a patch). Meaning that it can be distributed in whole freely anywhere. This means that ANY site that wants to can host it. This is the only way hosting can be done fairly, and as I said, this patch is to makr FIFA better, not to give site A more hits then site B, or Mr A a bigger ego than Mr B.

So i thnk Ive answered all of ur questions..Now lets get some people involved!

Should also say, with the compatibility issue, their wont be a kit compatibility issue, because as I said, u will be able to use either #GK or 32bit kits. Anything else which may have issues, before we start making the patch, we will have to decide what exactly we will be using for what (eg. any new specific faces, what these players numbers' are. OR any added, or renamed teams, what their numbers are etc..)

I think with carfeul planning, it can be accomplished..

Like Steve said its been tryed before by Steve n I when we were at fifapatches ... WBFP did actually work tho Steve , untill i lost it all from a virus about 2 weeks before it was due to release!


Great idea to try opne again ... Id be more than happy to help out... I organised one before and I dont c y i couldnt again...
As a team before we overcame all of the problems Steve & others mentioned mentioned there, and lots more. Id be happy to share our solutions to the probs etc and help out with stuff when you need it....

Appart from that GRAT IDEA .... kinda ruins my chances of gettin a WBFP2002 going tho lol
