Eriksson made the right decision in calling up Walcott to the WC06 squad. He then made a complete mockery of his very own decision by not playing him, even when it was blantantly obvious we needed him to be thrown on against Portugal. The man was an indecisive fool, and I'm glad he is now gone.

Rooney isn't is good as the hype he gets, but he still miles ahead of any other England forward. I think it important to play near to the full strength lineup to build combinations , neither Gerrard or Lampard have played at their best for England recently, hopefully Barton will be given some game time though to see what he can do. Its probably Downings last chance to prove he is international class.

Funny how you don't say anything to really back up Rooney or say what he is actually good for. Instead you do what pretty much everyone around here loves doing which is having a go at me, instead of coming up with facts to back up your argument I'm not really bothered about that but I'm sure its pretty clear who is the retard around here. Rooney might be a decent footballer but when it comes to CLASS he is far from it.
