If not for 3 minutes of pounding...they would have tied Cuba, so it is possible they could drop this game...Unlikely but possible.

I think the best Canada can hope for is a draw. I just hope we don't play a horrible 1st half again. I don't care if Arena plays some more unproven guys but Donovan should start since the whole team plays better when he is out there.

Pretty even so far...

More offence from the US which is no surprise, Canada defending well. Pretty uneventful so far, a couple BS yellows for Canada and Donovan misses one from point blank. Nice run from Josh Simpson, and some attractive passing plays from the Americans...

I'm really hoping Felix Brillant comes in to replace Occean, we need a guy in there with a bit more technical ability to partner with De Rosario. We need to shoot more from long range instead of always looking for that perfect through/long ball to Occean.

frustrating loss, we held our own until the own goal, even though we showed some heart by not giving up. Oh well, we can still possibly qualify with a decent win over Cuba.

My opinions on Canadians today:

Serioux ---> good, until the red card he was our best today along with De Rosario
Simpson ---> good, nice runs, should be a LW rather than a LB
Sutton ---> impressive, very confident gathering crosses. good positioning.
De Rosario ---> our best player atm, but needs better support.
Peters ---> should get more playing time, his speed and good crosses are badly needed.
Gervais ---> underrated defender, hope he remains a starter. Pretty much owned Ralston all afternoon.

Occean ---> plays like he has cement in his shoes. still doesn't impress me...
Braz ---> this guy's a hack. Stick to the A-League.
Bernier ---> the odd nice touch, but never produces much of an end product. He ruined two great chances for us today.

Wow. Sutton is really awesome. I thought him and Simpson were of the best in the entire field. But Sutton...I had heard that he was an amazing Keeper (like way too good for the Impact to keep him....but wow. Very secure <reminded me of Nikopolitis from Greece>
