At "Fall Fest" (basically a big street party to kickoff the year at Carolina) last night, Coach Roy and the team spoke with the current team about the coming year and said at the halftime game against Wiscy (Shifty?) everyone (Ray, Rashad, Marvin, Sean etc) will be back and championship the rings will be given out then.

And it's nice that you guys will get a victory in that game too; do you still have that Durant guy as QB? I think he's going to break Ed Cota's record for most seasons playing on a UNC team.... what was Ed Cota at, like 7?

Make it out of the SEC first, then we can talk. Can't stop you from dreaming though. (6)

I'm sorry we play in, hands-down, the hardest conference in America, and not a cup-cake conference like the Pac-10. :ewan:

Too bad Erik Ainge is made of glass.

How ????

He severly dislocated his throwing shoulder on one play vs. Notre Dame ...

That was the only play where he was hurt the whole year.

He just switched with Schaffer until Brent broke his collorbone against S. Carolina. Ainge is a great quarterback and is very under-rated coming into this year. We also have a great recieving core, though it might not be as great a USC's, but the front 7 on D is our strongest point along with Gerald Riggs JR.

Which is exactly the reason I said what I said, there's no doubt in my mind that the SEC is the best conference in the country. If you guys can get out of there and win the conference, who knows what could happen. Good luck though, you've got games away at Florida and at LSU back-to-back pretty early on I believe.

What's up Mengerink!!! Your pathetic Mid Majors can never compete with the big boys! Wisconsin runs all over Bowling Green and wins 56-42!?!?!? NICE

Oh, and TCU beat Oklahoma? How the hell did that happen, I DEFINITELY think Texas will win the Red River Shootout now.

Haha, I actually wanted Wisconsin to beat us, so that all the idiots all over campus will shut up and stop saying that we belong in the Big Ten. I think calling us pathetic is going a bit too far. We did put 42 up against you. Omar's still a helluva QB, though. Certainly wasn't his fault we lost. It was comical watching our defense try to stop the run.

I don't see how people can call the SEC the toughest conference in the country. For some time it was but now I feel that the ACC is pretty close.

The non-competitive scheduling that the College system enables and fosters has really gotta change, man.

Look at USC for a sec(just an example....not only picking on them) They've got a joke of a conference and a ridiculously easy non-conference schedule to boot. There isn't much of a challenge for them with this current system. They not only recruit just about every blue-chip athlete from that country within a country they call a state, but they're also now nabbing away top talent from other states all over America. It's just sick, man. They can field their third stringers with their schedule and still retain their #1 ranking.

For the sake of the division, please implement a playoff system similar to that of basketball. I mean seriously, why is it the only division in all of American sports that's got a bull**** BCS setup like this?

Imagine USC v Tennessee, USC v Miami, or Michigan, or Texas, or any other half decent team for that matter, man. The ratings and money would double what they're probably currently pulling in with a March Madness like setup.

What'd everyone think about Boise State getting their asses handed to them by Georgia? So much for all the BCS-berth talk. Also, I'm definitely looking forward to the Ohio State-Texas game this Saturday and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one, Vince Young going up against that Buckeye D should be great to watch.

Yep, can't wait for that encounter aswell. He better stay in the pocket if he's got any brains because he'll be treated as a third back in that game and marked like a madman.

Oklahoma is done for and should just concentrate on next year.

Doubt Miami will break the top five rankings again for the season. Boy was that game against FSU awful and sad to watch.
