I meant the Davids thing as a joke.

I havent always supported Liverpool but for some reason i've always liked them.
Most of my family back in England support them and some people in my family are really involved in the club, like my great uncle who played for the club.

Sky Sports said Ricardo (Portugal and Sporting Goalkeeper) may be moving to Liverpool

Off his performance in Euro 2004 (for the majority) I would welcome him, he would have to cut out whatever he was doing when Greece scored in the final, but saving penalties bare handed :|

Thats something special normally, let alone at that sort of level

Liedson is great! but Baros is better imho...
about ricardo... well... we already have Kirkland and Dudek so I don't know if signing another GK is wise....

As much as I rate Kirkland, hes never fit. He spends most of the season injured and the sooner that pile of :sb9: Dudek leaves Liverpool the better, one of the worst keepers I have ever seen

Yep Kirkland is injured too much;i hope he will be fit for the next whole season.Dudek is inconsistent;he was quite good at first and then he started to make lots of mistakes;before he came to Liverpool;he was considered as one the best in the world.

We need a centre back right now and a central midfield.Maybe Carragher can play centre back with Riise and Finnan on hte wings and Murphy bringing back in first team again ;Murphy was very impressive last last season;scoring some spetacular long range goals but in the recent season he was not so good and even lost his place in the first team

A little bit more news for those hoping to see Ricardo at the club....

Portuguese goalkeeper Ricardo has revealed he would jump at the chance of a summer move to Anfield.
The man who knocked England out of Euro 2004 after saving Daris Vassell's penalty and then firing the winner past David James is reported to be unsettled at Sporting Lisbon and looking for a move to the Premiership.

Whether Liverpool are in the market for a new goalkeeper or not will depend on how much Jerzy Dudek and Chris Kirkland impress new boss Rafael Benitez when training starts next Monday - but clearly our new Spanish boss won't have to look too far to find a number one desperate to move to Anfield.

Ricardo's agent said: "He would jump at the opportunity to join the Premiership, especially with Liverpool.

"He has shown his qualities through this year's tournament and if a club could afford him then he would quit Lisbon. Rafael Benitez will know all about Ricardo from his time in Spain."

By the way, where the f*ck is Ewan? I have no one to argue with. :( :p

Ah yes, nothing like a bit of good old fashioned post boosting. Anyway, just another snippet of news you lads may be interested in...

06/07/2004. Valencia and Liverpool are reportedly Interested in the services of Bordeaux defender Marco Caneira.

Caneira, a Portuguese international, is a versatile defender who is reportedly unsettled at Bordeaux and would like to play for a bigger club.

PSG are also said to be interested in Caneira but his agent told the press that he wants to play outside of France.

The major stumbling block for both Valencia and Liverpool is that Inter Milan owns half of Caneira's contract and they are said to be unwilling to part with the promising 26-year-old.

Caneira has also played with Benfica, Reggina, Alverca, Beira Mar and Salgueiros.

i always thought ricardo played for boavista  did he play for them in 2002/2003, im sure i remember him saving larsson pen in the uefa cup semi final

And he began is career in Sporting... he form the players and the rest of the world gets them...
Our luck is that we have one of the best schools in the world, specialy with the new academy.

Anyway, Ricardo agent said that he didnt said anything to any English reporter, but that Ricardo didnt rejected a good offer from Liverpool if they did one.

Caneira is a good central back, but theres better in Portugal and way better around the world. A medium central back.

Liverpool have been linked with Dortmund's Marcio Amoroso, I think it would be stupid if Liverpool signed him. Liverpool already have Cisse, Owen and Baros.

Amoroso would be a bad signing... not only do we have 3 top class strikers, Amoroso is also a greedy bastard who doesn't have a good work rate
