I know he has at the VERY least one more year at Sporting's option, and I believe he has a third at his own option.

What sucks is that Quaresma isn't playing at Barcelona because Sporting get some major cash if Quaresma plays in 75% of their games...

Rochemback has 2 more years on his loan deal with Sporting.

And if Barcelona decide to sell him during the time he's on loan at Alvalade XXI, Sporting will receive 50% of that transfer. For instance, if Juventus buy Rochemback for €10M, Sporting gets €5M. Pure and simple.

Great piece of business by Sporting SAD last summer. Fábio is indeed a great player, and proved many of us wrong by being simply one of the best holding midfielders in our league this year, if not the best.

What sucks is Moreirense can't go to UEFA Competitions.

I think it would be better is the small teams shared stadiums like Inter and Milan. That way cost are smaller. Look at the Faro stadium is just going to rot since Farense will never get into the 1a Liga anytime soon.

I think all the Madeira Island teams should play in the same one they just have to build one that is up to standards.

Next season 2004/2005 is going to be very entertaining since 4 teams are regulated and only 2 are promoted since 1a is going to 16 teams. Also next season there will be a battle for the 3 CL spots and 4 Uefa Cup sports.:rockman:

I thought that the Estádio dos Barreiros was up to UEFA standards, because I remember vividly Marítimo hosting Leeds in the UEFA Cup there twice in 5+ seasons.

As for next season, I can't wait for it to start. It could very well be the most competitive season that the Superliga has ever known.

Maritimo already hosted Leeds (twice), Juventus, Aarau and Sarajevo. :p

Maritimo will built a new stadium in Funchal. Nacional will upgrade the Rui Alves with more stands like it is in the original project, because the stadium isn't finished yet. Barreiros will be the home of União only.

And about the number of portuguese teams on UEFA next season don't forget Leiria. They applied an Inter-toto Cup spot, and if they stay at least in 12th they will participate :)

The reason Moreirense can't go is not because of the stadium, but because they didn't apply in January. The only clubs that are registered are Benfica, Sporting, Porto, Nacional, Beira-Mar, Braga, Boavista, Maritimo, Belenenses and Leiria

 you mean Rio Ave correct? MOR is not even a sure for a Uefa cup spot.

Great to see V. Guimarães win today 2-0 and keep the winning streak going and seeing Alverca lose again, and to Académica a trashing. I want both those clubs to just stay up, as like I said before they have good fan base and 2 great grounds, unlike Alverca. Plus next year they will be in batter shape and more competitive.

Intresting headline in Ojogo...

I see them also not going, and like we said before only Deco looks to be departing FCP, even tough he said he would love to stay 5 more years at F.C Porto. We will cash in on him and give Carlos Alberto that role.

Well hard game at Porto it's HT now and it's 0-0 as Maritimo is doing well, I predicted a 1-0 win for us.
