Mmm I just don't think the coach will play with just Senna + Riquelme in the middle... It would be too risky imo, cause Riquelme can't defend.

Forlan to Barça? :| Are the first news i have about that...

It could be risky but I think they would do this

-------Senna-------
Cani------------ Sorin
------Riquelme------
Forlan--------Nihat-

So actually a 4-1-2-1-2? Or maybe they will do what you say.

any yea its the first time I have heard about the Forlan to Barca move.

Well personally if I had to choose from A.Cole and Del Horno it's an easy choice

both are whiners, but at least Cole can play some football...

I don't like either of them. Cole was good in the final, but don't you think he played a little too erratic? And where was he when larsson set up the second goal?
I admittedly don't watch much English football, but every time i hear the name Ashley Cole, i remember Ronaldinho "fanning" (bicicleta) in front of him and him (Ashley Cole) just falling :funny: :o in the WC semis in 2002. Geez i gotta get a replay of that game

A. Cole is class and he looked damn good in the CL final, he was out for a while before that game was he not? Anyway either one is fine although A. Cole would be more expensive if I am not mistaken.

Obviously he has his defenders here, but Del Horno can still ball. The guy was quality in Spain which is why he impressed Jose to begin with, and as they say, form = temporary, class = permanent. His form hasnt been good in England, but I think that is down to the translation of leagues for defenders

bringing me to my next point

Defenders changing leagues is a very sticky situation. Ashley Cole can play, but if I were the brass in Madrid, I would be looking for a La Liga proven option first. Obviously the case of Samuel showed you why this is so, but certain defenders would just not be suited to certain leagues, or would take massive adjustment. Example. I think John Terry is a god, but if he came to Madrid, I guarantee he would be a disaster. Italy wouldnt be the same thing, but you get the picture. Campbell would, in my opinion, be much the same. Backs like Carvalho, Rio, Zambrotta, Chimbonda, Gallas are quick and elegant enough to survive in Spain because they have the ability to adjust. But obviously that lack of a balls to the ball physical presence hurts them sometime in England. Well, you all get the point

Long story short, for the wide open attacking style of Madrid, Cole would be a decent fit, but he might have that difficulty in adjusting. Del Horno however, while he might not have the same potential for greatness, would jump all over the chance to get back to Spain. Considering the tough time he had in London, he would probably also play his ass off for Madrid if they "rescued" him.

If Real Madrid could get either A.Cole or Del Horno it would be great. Both of them are great top defender.

Exactly. Madrid need to work from the basics. And that's their defence. Once they get some players to fill in the gaps, they can work on attackers and get some striking force as well as a solid midfielder that would "try" to fill in the hole of the missing Zidane. :(

ronaldhino makes a lot of defenders look stupid

Arsenal won't sell Cole unless he wants to leave, and I don't believe he does, so forget about getting Cole.

he's been rumored to leave for at least two seasons, this season and last, so i'd bet on him leaving arsenal, if not to us, then chel$ki

Yeap almost for the entire season - I think he had a metatarsal injury and when he finally came back another injury which sidelined him for some more weeks.

appearently both Madrid and Barca offered Arsenal 50M £ for Henry

almost there!! the WC just around the corner!!!

why has Forlan not been linked to Madrid? everyone else has! He would definatley be a class player where ever he goes (excpet England).

Id go 4 Del Horno over Cole. He'll last longer than Cole. Although i will be happy with either one. As long as we do actually get one of them and not miss out on both.

whats the story on Gallas? is he out of contract/looking for a move/just rumors?

gallas is willing to buy out his contract to leave chelsea, he wants to desperately to go elsewhere, i.e. Milan
