In what folder are you putting the option file? There are numbered folders in the SAVE folder - it goes in the first one of these.

No roster updates in the team you choose to play as in the ML, only the other teams will have correct rosters/names.

You always start with a defualt team, unless you choose Man utd and use the man utd option file.

Best thing to do is to just remove everything in in your save folder and just put the NON man utd save option file from wolf/andys patch in on its own.

Just a simple question to Wolf/Andy:

I'm only using the your exe, deleted my save file. I suppose it isn't necessary to use also your savegame file, true?
Your readme file isn't clear about this...

You need the option file if that's what you mean. Otherwise you won't have any of the team/player updates.

On a separate note, my kits updates have been done and i've sent to Wolf - i imagine he'll be uploading them somewhere soon. I'd do it myself but don't have anywhere to put them.

I'm using only the EXE file and apparently I have all updated in what concerns the teams' names and players... The only prob (or not...) I'm having is that some team names are cut... (Sporting Lisbon appears like Sporting Li). Is this normal? Do I really need to put the savegame file also in use? Shouldn't the EXE be sufficient?

Excuse my ignorance, but I've never done this before. Where is my option file in my PES folder? I've got "cafe" "dat_e.afs" & "over.asf". In the readme it says "Backup your option file", I don't know what this is.

Also, where can I find the new option file in the download. I unrared "eplpatch1.rar" and got 3 folders which were ADboardsAFXEx.rar, optionMusicFlags.rar & refuniBoots.rar.

All I really want to do is change it so that all the name are correct. Can someone explain it easily pleasE?

I didn't think any of the team/player info was contained in the exe - so if you say you have all the team/player info without having used Andy's option file, that seems very strange to me. Unless when you say 'savegame file' you mean something different. You can always correct team names yourself from within the game in the edit section. Won't take long if it's just a few teams.

SeanMcQ - the option file should be in the PES3 folder, in another folder called 'save'. I think if you've never run the game before though, it doesn't appear until after you first run it. It'll definitely be there. As for what you downloaded, that's not the full EPL patch - only part of it. If you just need the option file, email me at [email protected] and i'll send it to you.

Why do you need a different N0-cd EXE? I just installed the patch over my normal No-CD file and it seems to work

If you just use the pes3.exe file without the save game file you will have a few team names that are incomplete. This is down to the fact that WEditor will not accept long names for teams so normally you have to correct them in the edit section in-game and then save the option file which is why we always include the option file in the packs with the .exe

Also, if you are using an existing option file and trying to use it with the new pes3.exe it won't work as the changes will not overwrite what you already have been using as default.

This is the last option file I and Andy are doing so it's worth just going with it and losing your PES. The transfers that have happened since the pack was released are best sorted out by each user by using the free transfer option in the game (costs 10,000 PES) as people can't keep restarting the entire game by constantly updating option files. I for one also just want to get on with playing the game and getting lots of ML season under my belt rather than having to restart all the time.

I won't be making any more option file updates until before next season, I'm gonna concentrate on other aspects of the game now.

No, I'm not going to do it. I'd have to export hundreds of player and team .dat files, then reimport them back into the patched exe one by one. Of course, you can always do it yourself with WEditor...
