Someone should be able to decide for themselves, not go by what some game site says. I play Fifa on XBox, because currently it's the only option for soccer XBox has. I'm looking forward to Winning Eleven 8 coming out soon. I played Winning Eleven 7 on PS2, and came away disappointed. It was a good game, but got too much hype from sites like this one. If you want the best gaming experience of football get Fifa, if you want to play real football get PES. It's your choice, but if you get Fifa then you'll end up wishing you had got PES. I used to like Fifa, i've got Fifa 2004 for my gamecube but i don't like playing it anymore because it is shameful compared to PES4

Both FIFA and PES have radar that can be turned on and off, so what`s your point ?

My point is be it Fifa or PES, they are VIDEO GAMES not real football. Let's not kid ourselves. Just because one simulation the game better than the other doesn't mean it is REAL FOOTBALL.

Then i suggest you pay more attention, when you watch football.
The days when you pick up the ball and dribble from end to end, taking 3-4 players on, and doing fancy tricks n flicks
has long gone , in the real game ...

It,s more about Posession , Build up , Movement , Creating space , Timing of Runs , Passing & thru-balls etc...
Regardless of it,s number of needless Flaws in gameplay & ball physics ( Which have been improved in recent releases, tbh )
I honestly believe that Fifa gives a more Truer reflection of the Real game.

PES is a Good game, and Does have slightly better player movement & more realistic ball physics... But that,s All, imo.

Naaa, Fifa has gone too far to try and be realistic, build ups to goals take ages, the shooting system is log and they put in w@nk gimmicks every year

PES is just pure football, you can play it how you like whereas Fifa is made so you can only play a really boring time consuming passing game, whereas PES incoorparates every different style.

Yeah, and that,s what i,m trying to say...
PES is too Arcade like, where as Fifa is more like the real game.

You can still play fast exciting end to end football as well as a slow build up game, in Fifa.
I find that the higher the game level you play in PES , the quicker and more Full-On, the game is...
In Fifa when you play Pro or WC, the game does get more tighter and you do get closed down a lot quicker.
But none of this determines the speed of the game, as much.

As for the First Touch and the tricks system... It does actualy work well at times, it is all about the amount of space the player has, and timing.
But i do feel that the level of control should be closer at times, and the system ( as well as the whole game ) can suffer with delay / lag...
At times.

The game is far from perfect, but getting there...
EA , Do need to pull their finger out though.

I can sort of see where you're coming from, but I think that the way that PES feels so free can sometimes make it arcade-ish. In FIFA even on the easier levels it is hard to really play how you want, most of my goals come from either corners which are exactly the same time after time, long range faster than a speeding bullet shots and headers which is pretty damn annoying.

.That,s another little flaw that EA need to correct...
The best is when you are on the touch line and , somehow manage to do a 200mph back pass through about 9 players, and straight to the feet of one of your team mates on the half way line ..
But to be fair, it doesn,t happen as often in F 05, that it did in previous releases.

I dunno if you have played the UCL demo or not, but the gameplay has improved a little from Fifa.
You now have more control over your players, Set-pieces have also been improved and the Midfield now pushes forward.
The reason for me saying this, is because the gameplay feels a bit more PES,ish now. But still remains to be like Fifa...
