[Tutorial] Start Career Mode In 2014

How did you manage to start your career in 2020? I've changed the 'start year' values for competitions in settings.txt. However, on CM14, I could not set the start year past 2018 for any of the competitions. Is this why my game crashes when trying to start a career?

i saw some posts about the carrer start 2014.. some people would change the completly schedule to start at 2014..

you have 3 steps to done for a start in 2014!

1. start CM and go to the script section. click on FIFA and change the year value from 2012 to 2014.

2. this step is importend!! go to the world cup and change the start year to 2018!

3. go to the cmsettings at: dlc\dlc_FootballCompEng\dlc\FootballCompEng\data

and change the calstart from 2013 to 2014.

change to 2020, for world cup and other tournament just follow no 2 guide
example: start at 2020, fifa world cup set to 2024, etc following guide no 2

I've done this. I forgot to ask, will this only work on a fresh installation of FIFA 14? Or can it work with the Moddingway updates?

i guess it will work for other patch too, atleast the career mode working fine like fifa infinity patch

I've followed the steps and made the changes to my settings.txt but the game continues to crash. But when I changed the CALSTART to 2017 and career mode didn't crash but I could only see the 'Central' section but the other sections (Sqauds, Transfers, Office) were missing. I think this was because I was using a new database that I found on Moddingway. However, career mode was still able to load so I am very confused.

try to delete setting.txt and delete all bak file
copy a fresh one setting.txt and only edit this year in setting.txt
0,schedule_seasonstartmonth,JUL
0,schedule_year_start,2018 = to 2020
0,schedule_year_offset,1

I've applied the same settings and regenerated but I'm still getting the same result (see picture below). Originally, I had the latest Moddingway update installed on the game but that kept making the game crash when starting up career mode (maybe because of the fixture schedule)? Currently, I have tried applying the settings with no patch installed and it is causing the issue in the picture below.

I haven't installed the HBZ mod because it doesn't seem to work with the FIFA 14 from Nosteam. Maybe this is the issue? Will I only be able to start a career mode in 2020 if the HBZ mod installed? (Sorry for all the questions, I'm just very confused )

I used these settings in FIFA 16 and the career works fine. Try to use these settings on the original version of the game without any patches

I see. I already tried to apply these settings to original FIFA 14 without any patch installed and still no success. I think it's just not possible to do..

I have tried to edit settings.txt in different ways, changed years again and again and again, still getting the same crash, and my cmSettings file has "2023" Calendar Start in it too. I know for sure that the problem is in settings.txt but I don't know what it can be.

Maybe if someone could tell me what year they think every competition should have for this to work properly for 2023, I could be doing something wrong, but I edited all competitions schedule_year_start

I'd appreciate a help please, hope someone won't ignore!

My FIFA 16 starts in 2020, but I want it to start in 2023. How do I make this change?

It's just one year, if you don't want to start with 2013 simply calender sim it, it doesn't even take 5 mins.
