Yeah, I can't imagine what goes thru the players minds on the pitch, especially when decisions like this goes against them. Ballack may not get another chance to play in another CL final in his career, and to see your shot block by an arm(Etoo's) and the ref having rejected already countless of penalty appeals, it would've pissed the socks out of anyone. The first thought that I had in me mind was "the ref's shiny bald head", and "golf club".
As for Drogba, he realized the repercussions and still went on to do what he did, as much as all of you hate Drogba, I could understand why he said it given the circumstances of the game, what he said only expressed 10% of what we fans were feeling at the end .And just for the record he hasn't gotten away with much this season, in terms of punishment. The fact is that at that particular time, I would've spewed out profanity much worse than him, but I'll also would've regretted it later.
Sure most of the people out there would go, "ohhh, think of the children!!, what a disgrace that man is".....
I also read that Pep said after the match, JT went into the Barca dressing room and shook hands and congratulated everyone. So well done JT on that bit.
For those saying Barca beat us, they drew us in both legs and went thru on the away goal. So if Barca win the CL in the end, I could proudly think that Chelsea matched both CL winners in these two years. Well thats done and dusted. I've had it with this competition, in the coming years, I'll lower my expectations, its like we're never gonna win this thing. Terry's slip, Garcia's phantom goal, out on penalties in 2007, Del Horno sent off in 06. Its like we're just not meant to win this thing.
And to be fair to Arnau, he's been a good sport on this occasion.
