dressing room, mate! if Barcelona were designated the "home" team at the Bernabeu, the ignominy of such a situation for Real Madrid would be topped by Barcelona potentially celebrating victory in Real Madrid's own dressing room! that would be unbelievably humiliating ... that's the point ... I'm honestly not too fussed, but I can see how that could/would have given the players/fans something else to celebrate ...Nady;2837420 said:So what? The only difference will be your jersey colour.
most everyone predicted a Barça victory here; but I didn't see anyone saying the victory would be that "sound" ...Bobby;2837443 said:I love how people always assume Arsenal will be soundly beaten.
EDIT: I just reread this ... "all those Italians teams that WE slaughtered"?! "slaughtered"?! "all those"?! what?! when?!Bobby;2837443 said:Like they did with Madrid, and all those Italian teams that we slaughtered like livestock.
oh really? haha ... both teams try to play an open, attacking game ... that is why so many people wanted to see these two teams face off (at some point), just for the spectacle ... Arsenal may thrive on non-physical teams, and I compliment them on that; but Barcelona's precision play, if the players are on form, is unmatched ... thus, they don't need rely on out-muscling opponents to keep the ball away from them ...Bobby;2837443 said:Barca deserve the aura of invincibility, but they aren't a terrible physical team. Arsenal thrive on that.
hah, I see ... well, all I can say to this is that I certainly hope you are made to eat every single word you wrote in this uncharacteristically opinionated post ...Bobby;2837443 said:I could see CSKA holding Inter in Italy and winning in Moscow.
Arsenal aren't terribly physical either and Barcelona thrives on that. The only success teams have had against Barca is by parking the bus or playing very physical/dirty. You and I both know that Wenger will not resort to either of those. That being said, anything can happen when two attacking teams play each other. I think it will come down to Barcelona's accuracy/luck in front of goal... sometimes they just can't find the back of the net.Bobby;2837443 said:I love how people always assume Arsenal will be soundly beaten. I think so too: if anyone can, he can, especially considering that his team have gelled significantly since the group stage matches (when Barça walked all over Inter) ...Sevillista;2837702 said:if anybody can beat Barca it's Jose
no need to generalize that much ... it is not true ...Help?;2837717 said:And also how everybody assumes Lyon and Bordeaux are walkover teams
