Nedved is better midfielder than Deco. So is Valeron, Zidane, Vieira, Pires, Ballack...

As you would say about Rooney...you are only saying that because he is an Italian based player.

Well, I agree with almost all of them, but Rooney ?? What has Rooney achieved so far? He has great talent, no doubt about that, but Deco is now at the peak of his form, and I think that today, Deco's best than all of those player (maybe not Nedved)...
Zidane barely runs nowadays, just does some tricks (don't get me wrong, is the best player I've ever have the pleasure -sometimes it's pure pleasure- of watching play. One of the best of all time) with the ball to amuse the crowd. Pires is good, but will never made it into great, and he's not getting younger. Vieira's a great player, but this year, Deco player better.
Ballack, good player, but doesn't compares with Deco, sorry...

Deco is overated, not that because he got the award. He gets all the hype. Okocha, Scholes, Kaka dont get hype Deco does. And they are all better than him.

Dunno what people see in Deco. In my opinion I dont think he is that good. I rather have El Hadji Diouf in my team than Deco.....

Best Midfielder Diver award should go to Deco yet again.

Oh the victim.:rolleyes: It's not hatred against Porto, it's just people pointing out that Deco is overrated. And he isnt better than any midfielder people named here.

We all have our own biased opinions but I feel I'm being completely unbiased. I saw Deco at EURO2004 and he's pathetic. In the final he must have taken about 4 shots, I doubt one of them was on target. C. Ronaldo is better than him in my opinion. And Ballack is too, how can anybody disagree with that? Keane is also better than Deco.

But this is stupid, we could go on all day (I use the term lightly) about who's better than Deco but the fact is he's a good player but sometimes can be very disappointing. Is that a fair comment?

People are saying he's overrated, not the worst midfielder in Europe. It wasnt Deco that won these titles, it was Porto, and Deco is a Porto player.

You can get a Porto non-starter that is at the club since 2002 and he'll have the same titles as Deco. That doesnt mean he is world class. I want to see Deco on a better league, like you said, let's see how he fares now.

Deco sucks? Its hilarious how quickly people forget the true value of a player after they have gone through a rough patch. Deco was one of the main, if not the main, protganist for Porto when they won the UEFA Cup and the UEFA CL and the Portuguese League title.

Sure he didn't play well in the Euros but that doesn't mean sh!t. He shared time with Rui Costa and wasn't a certain starter. Deco is a classy player, not the crappy diving ****ty player you guys make him out to be.

i personally dont think he a ****ty player although he does dive alot, ive only seen him play in a couple of CL games, where he did impress, but then at euro where he disappointed, so i think hes just another player

oh and where is this official, nothing on uefa.com, and if it was true they would post all four players not three and a ? for a striker, i just see this as crap, so i wonder why everyones taking it so seriously, until its official, lets stop the bragging
