Yes Porto did won all the competitions in europe except the supercup as a team. But Deco was the heart and soul of the team alongside Maniche. It´s funny how a diver can achieve all these trophies. Gerrard, in the euro, was not as influencial as he normally is in Liverpool. Does that mean he sucks? Of course not. I´ve seen about 90% of Deco´s performances this year and he did have a good season. Not spectacular but he was influencial enough to guide Porto to an outstanding season. His 21€ m move to Barcelona must be a fluke.

Hey you still give some of these idiots that have no clue about football the time of day? Common most on these forum posters cant be over 16 they have no knowledge of the game, they just say he is crap that guy is sh;t. Man they I bet have not even seen a football game live, most if not all these idiots.

If you can say Deco is sh;t your basically saying you have no f@cking clue about football, Totti is sh;t so is Neved,etc.. right? Half these morons only now know who Ricardo Carvalho is, or jumped on his wagon,etc...

But were you expecting that making a generalization based on about 8 games about a player to get people on your cock?

I've seen this plenty of times, people make generalizations about our players having seen few games and then the next post, they mention they can't see the SuperLiga and it's not their fault. THEN DON'T GENERALIZE PLAYERS WHO PLAY IN IT!

But the generalization is true, Deco loves to roll around in that grass, one of the things he picked up before he got to Portugal, unfortunately, and few Brazilians have gotten it out of their careers in our league...

To mention an extremely good example: Super Mario Jardel...

On form, Deco is a great player though. He knows when and who to pass the ball to, and he's not afraid to take a long range shot here and there.

Do you know the concept of these awards? It means player of THE YEAR. Not best player in the world, not best player of the past 2 or 3 seasons, not player of the decade. For what he did last season of course he deserves this award. In the UEFA COMPETITIONS, he was considered the best player in his position. For his achievements, for his performances, for his influence in the team, for what he was able to do for his club.
It´s a standart procedure to name the players from the winning team as the best of that year in that competition. I don´t know what´s the big deal in this. And stfu with the comments about being obligated to watch portuguese football. You must be mentally challenged to think that. I couldn´t care less if you watch it or not. If you have interest you watch, if you don´t want to don´t watch it. But if you don´t watch it, it´s pretty stupid to downgrade it. I don´t watch the Bundesliga, because it has no interest to me and that doesn´t mean it sucks. Watch whatever gives you the most pleasure ( I watch almost every leagues as long as there is good football matches).

I really cannot see why would Deco be considered bad.
It angers me when people say he sucks.He is a great player.
Maybe a bit overrated but still better than most.
People that judge a player by a performance in one tournament (Euro) are really pathetic.As far as I saw ,Figo and Pauleta didn't exactly shine in that tournament and they are not bad players because of it.

actually i find it funny cause im havent said anything bad about deco, i was just commenting on one guys post
