Great goal by South Africa, Perez looked like he wanted to make an impression for all the wrong reasons. They way he kept rushing out was like he wanted to be just like Jorge Campos.

You are right. There was only one moment, in which he had to come out, but he didnt. That was the shot off the post at the end. The other times you saw 2-3 mexicans in range of the one SA attacker 10 - 15 meters before the box, you couldnt even see Perez´s goal and all of a sudden the white flash came into the picture for absolutely no reason.:33vff3o:

South Africa will be kicking themselves that they didn't win. Amazing atmosphere, the roar when Bafana Bafana scored was incredible.

Oh I forgot Mexico has Ochoa, why the hell did he not play? The current goalie looked bad.

Because despite Aguirre being a pretty good manager, he likes to make inexplicably retarded decisions. He's in because of his 'experience' even though he looked like the most jittery and nervous player that I saw. Almost cost us the game.

Blanco's shape is hilarious, but he's still good.

I wouldn't even say he's good. It's not like Mexico are lacking for attacking options or creative options, it's a joke that Blanco is still getting capped at his age and weight.

It's one of those questionable decisions at best from Aguirre again. Not even a year ago Blanco was making a big impact and helped the team mesh well. But now he just looks like he's completely sluggish, slow and useless out there. Guardado fed him two perfectly good crosses and he was too slow, lazy and old to get to them.

I dont know if it's because of the atmosphere, but with that shape, Gio's brother would be a better choice.

Perez was bad, if i was defender i would be really worried about the counter's from South Africa. Javi Hernandez is clearly the best choice for the attack, he just dont get still in the same place, a headache to S. Africa defenders. Franco's not bad, but he missed some good chances.

To me, the best line-up of Mexico:

1- Memo Ochoa [I know about the problems that he had about his misses, but he's a good talent and the best of the 3 choices]

12- Paul Aguilar [I was amazed when Aguirre took him off, i was thinking that the one would be Salcido, from the 4 defenders, Aguilar was the one who rised the speed]
5- Ricardo Osorio [Nothing to say]
2- Francisco Rodriguez [Made a good match]
3- Carlos Salcido [He kinda forget to defend when Mexico's lose the ball, S. Africa made a bunch of attacks on the left side of Mexico's defence.]

4- Rafael Marquez [I think he was doing the job that Pepe does in Portugal as DM. He's good, but slow to make offensive transitions]
16- Efrain Juarez [I didnt know about him, but i liked, he made me remember Motta in Inter's playing style, but less agressive]
6- Gerardo Torrado [The boss, nothing to say.]

11- Carlos Vela [Made some good combinations with Gio, but i think he can do better, maybe a little nervous, dont know...]
14- Javier Hernandez [With not a clearly playmaker on the line-up, a striker like him is necessary, he moves quite well on the field, his quite fast, certainly would make trouble on the CB's of S. Africa, letting Vela and Gio do his job without pressure]
17- Gio dos Santos [The one who tried to do something in this game.]

All this in a 4-3-3 formation.

Sorry if i said something wrong, but according of what i know about some players and what i saw today, this line-up would be very troublesome to the teams on his group, and clearly would pass trough the next phase.

To finish, the defence needs to be more fast, when Aguilar comes off, the defence just dont run. And Javier Hernandez needs to play more, hes a good trouble.
