It's the whole team that miffs us, really. The whole insistance of teams to crowd referees and, I don't know what's worse:
a) being unpunnished for dives
b) Portugal resorting to it despite clearly being a good enough side on their merit.

we just need to look at half of the replys at the semi final portugal-france topic... 50% from english guys.
We just have to look at the thousands of english that were at the semi final match booing ronaldo.
Speak all you want, but England is the most overrated country in the history of football.... you show yourselves always as favorites, but apart from 1966 you NEVER passed even the quarter finals of any competition... and you won it in 1966 cheating.
England is a great country, a great nation, has a great Football league.... but has a ****ty NT that plays mediocre football. And 1966 apart, it constantly gets beaten by everyone... yet english fans are so full of shlt it makes me laugh.

I can't believe some of the hate towards us portuguese sometimes. It truly is ridiculous. We're a small footballing nation, nobody knows us, but that doesn't give the right for people to bash us like crazy and constantly call our team divers. I've been to numerous boards, and literally, some of things I had read about our NT and even our Nation have been so derogatory and offensive, it once literally brought a tear to my eye. I try not to take these things seriously, in fact, my friends say I'm the most laidback person they know, but when you have people saying that our players are only capable of winning matches by diving is just plain naive.
Most of you don't know where I'm from, and most of you probably don't even care, but its important that people understand what its like for us. I'm from the same little island that C. Ronaldo is from, Madeira. Nonone knows who are, in fact, most people fail to even recognize that we're part of Portugal. As a small island, we're extremely proud of Ronaldo and what he's been able to accomplish as a footballer, and as a Portuguese player. As a youngster, he started off with absolutely nothing, and now he's something, only to be constantly hated on, more so now after this tournament especially by English fans. Today I came across the BBC article re: the hijacking of the votes for the FIFA young player award. Honestly, I have nothing to say about that except..... envious cowards. This isn't even about football anymore, it's about personal vendettas and bitterness. My hat goes off to Ronaldo though, for playing it cool. In light of all the bashing, I'm extremely proud for what he, and the rest of our NT has done. He, along with our remaining players have helped put a small country on the footballing map. Hopefully this small island can produce a few more skillful players like him.
At this point, I honestly don't care what any of you haters have to say about me, my country or our players. I think most of you have already said enough. So that being said, it’s mission accomplished for everyone, we’re not in the final, Ronaldo won’t receive the young player award, and we’ll only be recognized as ‘those’ guys who dive to win.
Hopefully one day we will have our time of glory.
