I DON'T GET IT!!!

i've been playing all of my life fifa games

and i have to say that fifa 2002 wc is the greatest ever!!!

who cares if one player is a little big \small...

the main thing i wanted in a soccer game was this
1.realistic movment of the players (shoting/getting the ball/...)
2.smart players.
3.fun in playing it
(4.realistic faces)
5.good grapihcs

and this year fifa wc has it all!
it's just getting beter each year!

the head shots is great, the player trying to catch the ball and fight over it way cool, the tackels are great , the player faces are fantastic!!!, the movment of them is so real ! the way the player run for the ball and while running tuches the ball gentley to set it up for a shot.

i think u shoul'd give ea the little credit they deservd.

Man, if you play any ISS or WE games you'll notice how damn bad any FIFA game is.

I play FIFA and WE. i think both of them have their own advantage and weakness. WE is simulation football game. playing like real football. But sometimes i fell limited and dont feel free to do whatever i want in WE ( just like in real football).
FIFA is not pure simulation game. It mixed with arcade style that i think its cool.
Playing FIFA maybe not like real football. But this is a game with much Fun Factor. I can spend more time playing WC2002 than playing WE.
WE may have better gameplay if you looking fore pure football simulation game. But FIFA is good too if you looking for mixed arcade style. And FIFA have better picture than WE. at least in PSone (Dont say WE in PSone have better picture. The Blocky character is teriblle. but their movement is good).
FIFA gameplay is improved even still far from perfect. WC2002 is more enjoyable than its previous. So i agree with haboshagadol.
u should give ea little credit for improving their game.

and WE before WE4 is worst.

See? That's the problem. What do you want from a football game? Everybody has their own opinion, but I believe a lot of people will agree with me: to recreate the thrill of the sport in the living room. And FIFA sucks badly at this, if you know your football from "American football". Settling for the lesser experience only shows your level of interest in the sport. And in the end its just about football. What you may deem as "fun" and "cool" in FIFA may infact be "boring" and "frustrating" to a true football fan.

p/s- WE was always the best. Well...maybe not WE1. But everything else kicks FIFA's @ss!!!

WE = winning eleven for psx & ps2
ISS = international superstar soccer for psx

WC2002 = world cup 2002 for pc, ps2, xbox.
dont know if there any version for psx and gamecube.

Each year we hope for a better game but never get it.. i personally have come to the conclusion that EA have no idea about football and the way it should be played.

Ea dont make a real simulator of football because if EA make a perfect simulation we dont buy in the future your games.We´ll wait for the patches on the net and we never buy your fifa again.
Or (the second reason) becuase the programers of this game dont know nothing about a football game. I think the have the tools for make a real, reeeaaaaaaaal gameplay with great graphics, so or is the first reason or the second.
And if EA want create a game for the kids and fanatics they must create a real gameplay with great graphics and put in the game arcade mode with fireballs, bugs bunny in the crowd, sonic like Romario and other level inside the same game. Or : kids!! play this game in amateur and thats all, if the kid dont win in a more difficult level, the kid play the game in the less dificult level.
Thats all.
EA dont want make the game perfect. They know how, but they dont want and announced year after year revolutionarys gameplays and take off the good things of the old fifa and put a few better things and a lot of crappy things.

To all fifa fans (fans when we wait a better game year after year, but not now when EA dont listening to us never) have a nice day.

Speak for yourself.. just cause i post doesnt mean i secretly like it.. im just a fan of football games in general.

Yes i once loved Fifa.. back in the days of 98 but since then the product has deteriorated in all aspects apart from graphics... thats just my opinion.

The reason we post these threads because we want EA management to make a good football or soccer game. We all know that EA reps do read these boards. I don't know if they listen. But I guess if people share the same attitude as you regarding FIFA, then FIFA is lost. You think that EA is making FIFA for the US? What are you on man. Last time I check, football or soccer is not even the top five sports in the US. Football is a world sports. The US is not the world. THe US sucks at football. I will give to to you that EA target a broad audience or casual fans of the sport. But if you have played FIFA since it was first made, then you will get bored with the game because it is the same crap every year. The only thing that EA does a good job is on the graphics.

why you trolls post here is because you are mad that the best looking soccer game isnt a Simulation game, its an Arcade game.

FIFA is an arcade game, period, thats why you cant compare it to ISS or WE. FIFA will always be an arcade soccer game if you havn't figured that out from the last 5 versions of FIFA that have come out.

WC2k2 is damn nice and is much more fun to play then the last few, the atmosphere is great and all the new addons are nice.

You can rip me as a fan, 'cause thats what you all do to anyone that says they like the new FIFA game, but truth is, I have played and watched soccer since i was 6 and have even been a referee, and I play on an amateur soccer team. So dont sit there and tell me I dont know the game or love the game.

So crank the difficulty up a few notches from the lowest setting and just learn how to play the game with all the new gameplay changes.

Its an ARCADE game, you arn't building a soccer dynasty that is going to win you millions of dollars. So go push up the half length some and learn some of the new moves and how to head the ball so I can stop reading all your stupid posts about how you cant win the ball in the air.

NOTE FOR EVERYONE: Do not complain about the gameplay until you play with a JOYSTICK/GAMEPAD. This is an ARCADE style soccer game, go buy something once in your lives and get a good controller. I have 3 extra ones you can borrow for crying out loud!

SAY EXACTLY WHAT IS WRONG?
Well, to tell you the truth I've tried so many times doing this, try looking at some posts I made about a year ago when I had some hope left for FIFA. Now I don't give a damn anymore.
And it is actually easier to say what is right with FIFA than to say what is wrong since the game has so many letdowns.
The commentary is good. The graphics are quite nice... Hmmm... Ok, it ended there...
Here's the story, they had a game that is still enjoyable back in 98 but they managed to take that game apart and destroy it with every new release.

One proof: FIFA RTWC 98 had more teams than FIFA 2002... How the hell could we accept this???!!!?!
Proof two: The gameplay of FIFA RTWC 98 is not just more fun than FIFA 2002 but ALSO MORE REALISTIC! How could FIFA in 4 years time not IMPROVE the realism of the game????
Proof three: They showed us that they ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY when they didn't even include the World Cup in their last game just so that everyone should run out and buy their World Cup game...

And you think ISS fans talk crap about ISS? Not a chance. Visit the forum, find a link to download an ISS game and try it out. You will hate what FIFA has become after you have tried ISS.

And no. I don't visit any of these forums because of what FIFA is now. I loved FIFA RTWC 98 and still enjoy it but the thing is, EA is a has been. When it comes to creating soccer games they aren't even in the same league as Konami CET!

The gameplay of FIFA RTWC maybe more realistic than WC 2002, But i think there's more fun in WC 2002. I don't know why some people very like FIFA98. I know its really very much better than FIFA97 (FIFA97 is very very bad) and you may have some great time in that period as i did. But i can't see why FIFA98 is better beside maybe more realistic gameplay. Can't you see that is very very much improvement in WC2002 now. For me this is the most fun football game i ever playing.
