Your first WE8 Impressions

hhehee, can't really decode the specs..

i think it says something about connecting multiple devices / networking so that's good. Def better than a regular USB modem.

In WE8, the computer is clever enough to sub a player in the correct position.
I played me as Manutd vs Real Madrid, Konami Cup Final. I was leading 2-1. 16 minutes left. Owen came on for Real Madrid for Salgado. Real Madrid seemed to change their formaiton to a 3-4-3 formation since Raul and Ronaldo was still playing as a striker. Owen also was playing a striker.

In WE7IJ the players subsituted by the computer always played in the wrong position. Seems they've corrected it.

Yea it also seems that the AI actually starts their best starting 11. I remember in WE7 sometimes they would have their best players on the bench. Now in WE8 Master League I actually see the Ai starting the best players.

I've seen something even more amazing.. I was playing against Portugal and they were losing. C. Ronaldo came in, replaced Figo on the right, and Figo went to the left. That was phukin amazing

You don't need a new modem!

You need a router or a hub that will allow you to plug your USB modem into it.

You would take the USB modem going into your computer and plug it into the hub/router. Then you can connect whatever else you want.

However, I don't know what price you're looking at for the modem, but the router/hub is almost definitely cheaper.

Whoever said USB modems are oldschool made a mistake. You probably have a newer modem if it allows USB connectivity

To me it`s much more difficult than any other WE/PES version. It plays differently, so you have to master it, learn it and then rate the difficulty.

Another thing: just unlocked the 10,000 WEN option which lets you choose your starting ML salary. You can choose to start with as little as 1000 pts to 50,000 pts!

-Can u tell the difference between styles of play between teams, eg arsenals quick football henry going to the left, Real Madrids passing game

-Do individual players make more of an impact on games and really trouble you, like wingers really giving ur full backs a roasting with direct running, Or Vieira making centre midfield impossible to break through.

-Can u do measured volleys like kaka's against club brugge.

-Are the attacking ai's better?

-Is the cpu ruthless in front of goal

-Does the cpu do more feints tricks and dummies

After 1 year absent, I'm finally back in business in WE 8. YES !! This is the game that what I want. Too bad there are still a very low number features of NT's.

The most thing that I like :
- Calling up new players for the NT. Even better, the legendary players can be called up into NT's or be recruited to ML mode. Amazing !

I don't see any linesmen in the field in WE 8. I'm hoping the next WE 9 would be better & better. Konami, get a full license for players, clubs, national teams, logos & sponsors of the jerseys (Nike, Umbro, Adidas, etc).

as everybody are talking about PES4 now, WE8 was on the block long time and last reply here was 9 days ago sticky time for WE8 "first" impressions is over
