Your VOTE for US president - I give you mine

I liked Clarke too. I liked a lot of the candidates. I think Kerry should draw on them for his cabinet to ensure broad-based support. Why not announce Clarke as Secretary of State or Defense?

Why I am not making my own choice?

I voted against GW Bush twice (Governor and President) and I plan on voting against him again. I am not a fan of any other candidate at the presidential level. Currently, the presidential election is a vote of the lesser of 2 evils with Tweedle dee and Tweedle dum in the starring roles.

Honestly, there isn't an icicles chance in a Texas summer that Bush will lose Texas...

State and Local voting is what impacts my life and is what I will be concentrating my voting on.

Legality of giving you my vote? It is my vote I can do with it as I please... just like the 60% of Americans who don't even exercise their right.

Either you hate Southern drawl or Edwards strangled your puppy when you were 4.

Are you kidding me? Bush is the one who sat on his ass in Texas letting a report saying Bin Laden determined to strike inside the U.S. gather dust. He's the one who let bin Laden get away. He's the one who cause the deaths of hundreds of people by intentionally letting Zarqawi get away three times because he was more concerned about fabricating evidence to attack iraq than he was about the war on terror. And talk about flip-flops. First Bush said he'd get bin Laden dead or alive, now he says he doesn't think about him. Then Bush said he can't even win the war on terror. Bush is soft, even conciliatory, on terrorism, it runs in the family.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Bush could easily debate his past self on abortion, North Korea, Social Security, the creation of a Department of Homeland Security, the creation of the 9/11 commission, a gay marriage amendment, foreign intervention, and the war on terrorism. Bush and his people put the "Kerry flip-flopper" propaganda out there with the aid of their media allies to deflect the criticism Bush deserves for his lack of any kind of ideological consistency. Now, when people point out Bush's frequently shifting policies, everyone thinks "But . . . but Fox News told me KERRY is the flip-flopper!"

ShiftyPowers, I think Kerry will be very tough on Bush. Bush won't have his media to present his lies as truth, and Kerry will call him on his B.S. However, I think this chart sums up very well what media coverage of the debate will be like.

What Americans need is someone who puts their own country first. Tax, education, welfare, jobs those are all issue that (should) matter much more to the American than going a couple of thousand miles east to start a war. If Kerry plays that card and focuses more on what really matters to the Americans, something they can relate to then he should win. Sure enough, security and all that is important but if I was American I rather see a great education system than watch bombs being dropped on some country on CNN.

I do too. I think Edwards would be way better than Kerry. I think Clark would have been a very good candidate as well.
I voted for Edwards in the Democratic caucus but I'm not so sure he would have done better than Kerry.
