2GK and 2S together !!!!!!!!!!!

Hello,

I have developed patch combining features of 2GK and 2S, I have already sent the patch to both authors of 2GK and 2S, and if they both agree, we all will be able to create kits in 2GK quality with two different sleeves !!!

Here is a part of the mail I have sent to them:

This mail was sent to Ariel (author of 2GK) and Yj (author of 2S). I like both 2S and 2GK for FIFA 2002, but I hate that I wasn't able to use both features at one time. So I sat to the computer and combined the two patches created by you, and here is the result. I have the email attachment size limited to 100kB, so that's why I can't send you the resulting patch by email, but you can download it from http://********************** this is direct link, you don't have to access any web page to download the file. The readme.txt contains the same info as written here (bellow). I hope you'll like this work, and feel free to upload it to your web sites.

2GK2S for FIFA 2002 - PLEASE READ THIS README CAREFULLY

This patch brings you all advantages of 2GK (by Ariel Santarelli - http://www.socceraccess.com)
and 2S (by Yj - http://www.soccered.com) together !!!

2GK allows the kitmakers to create FIFA 2002 kits with double resolution compared to the
original kits in the game, and 2S allows them to assign two DIFFERENT sleeves to the kits. Both
these methods rule, but what the most of the FIFA gamers and patchmakers community really need,
is a combination of both !!!

Using a "reverse engeneering" of 2GK patch by Ariel Santarelli and of 2S patch by Yj I have
learned how these great patches work, and combining features of both, I have created a 2GK2S
patch which consists from files texture.big and player.big, both these files should be copied
into data\player\ directory.

Because both files texture.big and player.big originally come from the FIFA 2002 CD (although
edited and tuned first by Yj and Ariel Santarelli, and then by me) all copyrights are still
held by EA Sports.

I would be pleased if both Yj and Ariel Santarelli upload this 2GK2S patch to their www sites,
I only would like to ask them not to remove this readme.txt file from the ZIP package. If anyone
else wants to upload this patch to his www site, he should first ask for permission both Yj and
Ariel (not me), email addresses are listed bellow. Only those who get the permission of them
BOTH (Yj and Ariel), can give this 2GK2S patch to their www site.

actually I think that isn't necessary because already Ariel is making a 4 sleeve technique with his 3gk kits coming soon. 4 sleeves 2 short and 2 long left and right with the larger sizes for better quality. 3gk also adds kits for each goal keeper. But if there was a way to use both it would be cool as well.. the creators would have to decide. I won't get in the middle of that 1.

no problem with 4S, i can edit the player.big file to use 4 different textures for left long sleeve, left short sleeve, right long sleeve and right short sleeve, the editing won't take me more than 15 minutes. I only need to know how ariel decided to name the subimages in the kit fsh file (so far long sleeves are hlsv and short sleeves are hslv) I suggest to use
hlsv and hslv for left sleeve
hrls and hrsl for right sleeve

as I told, I can make player.big using these 4S bitmaps, but I don't know how to create hrls and hrsl images in the FSH file

Lukas, are you making it for 32 bit or 2GK. If it is 32, I think I can help you create the hrls and hrsl in the fsh. You know my e-mail.

I want to add the two images into 2GK, but first I would like to talk to Ariel (got no reply from him ) because I want to make the kits compatible with his future work.

Great Work! If you want to add hrsl and hrls iamges you should just be able to use Sonique FSH to add them to the .fsh file.

the 2GK2S was tested succesfully, no problems occured. From strobe_z I just received an updated FSH file with hrsl and hrls images, I will edit the player.big and texture.big files, the 2GK4S should be released in a few days, so stay tuned to this forum

Do you guys ahve permission to release 2gk 4sleeve? How can you release 2gk 4 sleeve? Unless you are Ariel Santarelli.. I don't think you can. I might be wrong though.

From my point of view, yes he can do that.
Ariel has only officially done 2GK, his 3GKs and 4S are not released yet, so if Lukos really creates the first 2GK4S patch, he should get his credits, maybe just along with the 2GK technique. But 4S will be under his name as he is the first to do it.

It's like, who's the first to contribute to this Footy Gaming community, he should get crdeit, no such thing as permission or not. Because as far i know, there is one guy who also nearly did a 2GK type last year, just that Ariel was the first to release it. Hence, it all really depends on speed. But luckily, my 2S-technique is still the FIRST OF ITS KIND..........hehehe
