This patch is really giving me a lot of fun, it's like another time in a parallel world. But some of the same things happen again.

Yep haha, I've seen this kind of things happen too. I playing career mode with AC Milan and senior players don't want to retire nor transfer away. e.g. Gattuso, Ambrosini, Inzaghi.

I added some players born before 1998 to the game as free agents in the 2015 and 2016 patches, so that after a few years I could find young Rashford, Kane, and Mane who did not exist in FIFA11.
If you are interested, I can upload my exported cmp and you can import it and try it yourself.

I've been thinking about expanding this patch to extend from 2011 to 2016 season, switching assets automatically every year. Would you be insterested in this kind of feature?

I think the initial step is to simply extend 1 to make sure we cover everything right the first time without errors. So first patch extension will be for 2012 assets. For assets I have no issue doing that myself, but I will need help to modify .lua files in order to have the assets be pulled from a different directory.

I think the initial step is to simply extend 1 to make sure we cover everything right the first time without errors. So first patch extension will be for 2012 assets. I don't know yet how RM16 works, but the easiest solution for F14/16 would be naming the folders like sceneassets11-12 ui11-12 and renaming/copying them with overwriting at the end of 10-11.

Here are some concerns I've had for this megamod:

1. Number/font colors.
Let's say 10-11 Arsenal away kit is white, so the numbers and fonts assigned in the DB will be black, and when we go to season 11-12 if the away kit is blue, then the black numbers and fonts assigned in the DB will clash, so the only way to have them white is a new team_xxx.lua file but this needs to be done potentially for every team and every season (or not cared about).

2. Boots.
At some point in time EA changed bootIDs.
So we can't just overwrite F11 boots with e.g. F15 boots because it's very probable that Ronaldo will start wearing Umbro instead of Nike and Messi will wear Mizuno (this one I do care a lot about, but can do it).

3. Teams that were not part of F11 DB but will become important later (RB Lepizig, Sochi, Krasnodar, Morocco, Ghana, Iceland, etc. whatever leagues/teams were not in F11). Maybe they don't get included, maybe just the national teams, maybe try recreating what we can but idk what we can do with clubs that were created after 2011.

4. Young players and modern stars like Haaland, Mbappe, Bellingham - I am not sure, maybe @RHZhang can advice, can we create them with ages like 10 for 2010? Or Do they need to be at least ~16 in 2010 to be recognized by the game?

5. Promotions and relegations.
That's more of a wish, and I am not sure how this can be realistically done, but e.g. F11 DB Russian League doesn't have its 2nd tier, so teams like Amkar and Saturn will always play there every season without relegation. Probably would be awesome to add a 2nd tier with the likes of Arsenal Tula, Ufa, Ural but IDK what to do there with kits and squads.

In general, It might be important to have a solid starting DB without major missing teams or players.

most of these can be done with separate DB for each season?
or you want a single db so you can promote to next season with real kits and stuff? but like this the AI will make seasons unrealistic with stupid transfers and all.
i was thinking about 2010-2023 seasons like you have in CP14 addons
and instead of adding 2nd tier of russia better add missing UCL- UEL or new leagues which had several teams in these competitions in those years, also new national teams

In my mind that was the idea.
You take whatever team like Leicester in 2010-11 Championship, you fight for promotion to the EPL, maybe you get there in 2012-13, you buy and sell players along the way, trying to get Arshavin or smth, then you fight for the UCL spots and maybe in 2017-18 you finally get there and by that time you've gotten Haaland, etc. and you're facing Real Madrid with Mbappe and Ronaldo, etc.
That was the idea of the alternative history career mode.

Just having 2010-23 top teams with separate squads is what we already have in CP14, indeed.

all these seasons in the last decent moddable fifa(16) maybe with a working career mode, unlike CP

I exported the player data from the original FIFA16 and 16/17 patch, I have set them all as free agents, can be transferred in the game. All of them were born before 1998, I found that importing players born after 1998 caused errors when creating career modes.

This is the cmp data I exported, all the players were born before 1998 and were set to be free agents, and I found out in the game that the CPU would trade them as well.

But because it is the data of 2015 and 2016, the ability value of some players may not be very real, for example, some young players are a little high. And if you import, the number of free players will be a lot, in some modes to open the list of free players will die, but you can find by the name. And because the number of players has increased so much, there will be a longer wait for the first career mode to be created, but not the second year.

Hey guys, I'm testing some DB changes and I remember somewhere in the forum I found an All-In-One DB file of all Fifas, I've been looking for it but no luck yet. Does any of you have it? If so please share it here, I need it to make progress with this mod.
