Just read on OXM that W11-8 is coming to the XBOX Feb 2. “Woooop there it is” folks… another reason to drop the money hungry jerks at EA.

EA fears competition, just look at what they did to SEGA. EA bought the exclusive rights to the NFL. What does it mean? Easy they have eliminated SEGA (and everyone else) from the race. The awesome ESPN NFL Football franchise no longer breathes air. Nobody except EA can now make a game with the NFL license (at least not until 2010). Say goodbye to the awesome gameplay of ESPN 2k5, say adios to paying $20 for a solid game that kicked Madden ass, kiss healthy competition between football game makers goodbye!!!!!!!!!!!
And give thanks to the mighty EA for monopolizing the game industry even further. Oh yeah, they tried to do the same with the NBA but the NBA said NO thanks!!!

So what do you guys think about EA now!!!!!!!!

I'll buy FIFA 2006 if there is:

1. More accurate team and player ratings

2. Country carreer mode

3. Canada national team (see #2)

4. Less buggy carreer mode.

5. Improved CAP (sock length, more hair style varyaty, face you create is shown in menu and in squads)

6. Create-a-team.

I am glad that I am not the only one who notices that FIFA 2005’s career mode has bugs. EA never bothered to check their product properly before release.

EA has gone through lawsuits that accuse it of making their employees work ridiculous long hours, without proper compensation, in the hopes that a particular product (think FIFA 2005 here) gets released on a previously determined date.

I think EA releases unfinished products, what do guys think?

-When you change languages (English to Spanish etc) your progress gets left behind as if you were playing with a different user or something... same thing happens with created players.

i love it when an xbox person calls EA out on being a monopoly, then they turn around and give their profits to the biggest monopoly ever in exsistance, microsoft$$$$$$$$$$$$$ gets me every time, can we say hypocritical

EA listen up. I will only buy the game if you friggin retards stop spending all your time making 4 soccer games a year and just make one that is great. I dont need FIFA 2006, then 2 months later Total Club Manager 2006, then 2 months later UEFA 2006, and then to sum them up every 4 years, FIFA RTWC 2006. Make one good game instead of thinking that you can make 4 games out of one. No friggin wonder all we have gotten for the past 3 years is better GFX, new kits, and first touch control. I would like to sit down after my $50 purchace and say wow I got FIFA 2006 and like the name, it has all to do with FIFA, sure if you guys start selling the FIFA games for $20 like SEGA did this year then I wont care about spending the money for all 4. There is not way in hell I will pay $200 just to have the full FIFA experiance. I will pay $50 though.

Hypocrite mate? No offense taken (really).

First of all, this forum discusses Video Gaming topics, not other market issues. Microsoft’s XBOX has not attempted to banish competition in the same way that EA has banished Sega’s awesome NFL2K series.

Now, do you want to discuss what Sony has done in the industry (outside of gaming of course) they are not exactly what you call saints either (grab a book and read). I am assuming of course that you play on PS2, because for you to own a computer with Microsoft’s “monopoly” ridden software, now that my friend would also be... “hypocritical”... :drevil:

I tell you what though, if you are still really worried about looking at the overall picture (and not focus on topics as they relate to the video gaming industry) why don’t we have a nice six year discussion on how corporations implement unfair market practices; but please, not in this forum... we are supposed to be talking about video gaming... remember?

I have not bought a Microsoft Operating system since my somputer with windows 95, they can kiss my I still get all service packs, who is laughing now M$. I wasnt talking about the XBOX directly I was talking about the company as a whole. I know sony are not saints and have done wrong. Example Squaresoft. There is however a big difference between the two. Big example, Sony did not try to toshiba on the price for the GPU's chips for the PS2, guess what company DID try to Nvidia for the GPU chips for their system. Microsoft!!!!!!!!! It is a wonder why Nvidia started working with Sony over 2 years ago on the PS3's GPU. By all means try to run 90% of your computer games on a computer not running a Microsoft operating system.
Sony is pushing the "Cell" chip towards the PC market in the future, Why you ask. They want to be gone with this seemingly need to run a form of windows for programs. They have designed the chip to be able to do things like, if you want to run a Unix OS, you can still run a windows coded program, and vise versa. I see that as revolution instead of holding us back. If I did not use my PC as a gaming machine, by all means I would not run a Microsoft OS.

Like I have said before, if EA just friggin fixes the bugs next year and doesnt introduce news ones, I will be a very happy man.

Almost everything i want has been stated in this & other threads & in fact other forums & even those of previous years. But nothing really changed. Thats why I'l only buy FIFA 2006 if the EA GUYS actualy READ all the stuff in this forum & other forums AND actualy take into CONSIDERATION our thoughts & requests instead of just dishing out d same fare year 2 year. And if they DON'T.........i hope all u guys here keep 2 ur word & NOT buy d game. We've all talked d top & now we have to walk the walk.
