embarrassing.

in the end tho, the two teams with the most nba talent/potential will be playing for the title.

roy williams was once again raped from behind in the coaching department. bill self coached a masterful game. we will never win a title with roy as our coach, coaching his own players. roy didn't win it in 2005...ray, may & marvin won it. we won't win it next year either, even if everybody comes back. we don't have the talent, heart or coaching to win it.

I just remember when that game was 40-12 thinking "I wish I had Slayer's phone number right now." Also thinking "I've always thought Roy was over rated and choked in the big games, but this is ridiculous!" I don't know how he sent his kids out there so utterly unprepared for that game.

Man I really think there is a larger problem with the ACC. There is no way you can convince me that the ACC prepared us this year. When we won in 2005 the ACC was freaking stacked! Our out of conference schedule was also not up to par. Not a single ACC team had a formidable inside game to handle Tyler and I'll admit his numbers were inflated. KU was a nightmare of a match-up and they exploited our every single weakness. They drove the lane, took care of Hansbrough and negated the other two bigs. Ty Lawson acted like he was ready to go to the NBA the entire game and looked disinterested as ****. If it weren't for Wayne & Danny the game would've been a 40+ point blowout.

So, prediction for the Final winner?

I'm going for Memphis, for absolutely no reason other than I remember seing them in a SLAM article.

haha (H)

I really have no idea, both teams are fantastic. I think that whoever wins though it will be like 10+ points based on how this tournament has gone.

Go Memphis.

I've been reading rumors that Roy is going to sit in the KU cheering section and cheer on KU. If I see Roy do this I will seriously slap him in the face if I see him on campus.

After our team just had their asses handed to them and our players were embarrassed and obviously humiliated goddamn Roy Williams had the nerve to show up sporting a JayHawk on his freaking shirt but two days later? ******* tactless and insulting to the UNC players that worked hard all season for him. I couldn't care less that he went to the game to enjoy himself or even secretly cheer for KU...but wear KU gear and even giving a halftime interview? Does he have any mother ******* sense?

PS: Congrats to KU! Definitely the best team all year....Memphis, biggest choke of the century!

That vaguely reminded me of the Super Bowl. What a sick feeling it must be for them. They had it the whole game pretty much; well, at least the second half. But Kansas, as much as I dislike them, showed they're pretty clutch. In OT it was clearly who was gonna win. Memphis just looked gassed at the end.

Oh, and now I remember why I began to have a deep dislike for North Carolina... Roy Williams. What a douche. Kinda funny in a way, though. Kansas ended up winning a championship without him. Laugh is on him.

I lost a ton of respect for Roy Williams after this weekend. Thank goodness I don't have to worry about him or the program for about nine months.

I suppose it's a little strange to show up and cheer for a team that knocked you out of the Tournament two days ago. Might make some people feel your loyalties aren't to your current employer. It's even worse if you didn't prepare your team anywhere near adequately enough in the game you lost.

A friend of mine who goes to unc just told me there's a soundbite of roy saying that he would be happy no matter what team won the game on saturday. I HAVE to hear this.

if that's the case he absolutely must go. if i was the players on the NC team i would not step a foot on the floor for that man. THAT is the ultimate betrayal. you are playing for one of the more hallowed trophies in american sports, and he says he's happy no matter who wins? if you are in the positions of roy williams, no matter what your feeling are, you must display nothing but drive and determination that you team will win. that is your job as a coach and mentor to the young kids who give it all on the court. absolutely shameful if it's the truth.

on a side note, Oklahoma state is rumored to want to offer Bill Self a contract. It's his alma matter, and they are supposedly offering more money than he's earning now at KU (about 2.4 mil a year) If Bill leaves, can anybody see Roy hauling ass out of NC to go to KU? i don't think he'd make it out of Durham alive

what an absolutely phenomenal game, man. I've never really appreciated Self's coaching skills (even if the Tigers choked terribly) up until that game. The amount of adjustments, strategizing and well designed plays after stoppage in play that he was able to construct was awe-inspiring....the dude put on one of the best coaching clinics that I've ever seen in that game, man.

one more thing, was CDR just being a selfish, "I'm gonna be the great hero" type of prick in the last 5mins of the game, or were his teammates just deferring to em too much?

Roy should be perma-banned from ever setting foot in North Carolina, man. I couldn't care less about the UNC program and I found myself cringing at his antics.....******* blubbering homo!

Hey, Slayer, I've been meaning to aXE you, bro. COuld you post some momma Curry pics?
