Arnau has suggested that Javi Martinez will be playing at center back for us by the end of the season. I'm inclined to agree.

Lucio was sold for too little money, but he was 1 year away from falling off completely. Just a shame that his last good year happened to beat us in the CL Final.

And Olic is a decent enough player, but first of all these 1st Round Cup Games are always walks, and secondly I'd much much much rather have Mandzukic.

He looks well settled, 3 goals in 2 matches so far.

Just watched highlight, Shaqiri was very impressive as well a wonderful goal and two assists.

Mandzukic proved he can easily score Gomez kind of goals and he brings more to table. I think Gomez should really compete for his spot.

Shaqiri form is an alarm for Robben, he has no room for error this year.

Very excited for the opening game in about 6 hours. Looks like its being confirmed that Heynckes is done after this year. He only signed a 2 year contract when he arrived, so that is no surprise. Personally I don't think he's much of a tactical mind, but he has been a great servant of the club for several years across different decades.

As a replacement everyone is smoking the Pep crack in Bayern fan land, but I want Lucien Favre.
