Pep is the sexier choice. And will attract more players of world class stature especially from Spain.
Anyways I find it annoying the Javy saga keeps dragging. Watch him pull a oentrao.

what's your impression about Bayern defense so far, I think your front is much stronger and any Mario can be super Mario there ;).

That's more than they are worth IMO, but that is not a credible rumor.

In this market for happy starters on long contracts at another CL club?

Only cause the last one was ridiculous, it's still certainly much higher than previous years

I love the English. I google Javi Martinez for the latest news and indeed I do see that the transfer is basically final for the 40m, but I also see this headline

"Transfer window to slam in Roberto Mancini's face as Bayern Munich close in on Manchester City 'target' Javi Martinez"

In what world have City even made a bid for him!? Bayern have been going through **** all summer and Javi Martinez CLEARLY wants to play for us. He was left out of their Europa League squad because of Bayern. But no, according to the English we just swooped in at the last minute to steal him away from City.

The most interesting and yet predictable revelation came courtesy of an Uli Hoeness interview with FAZ, however, in which the president - who's officially not involved in the day-to-day running of the club anymore - explained how Bayern came to sign Mario Mandzukic this summer: "He came to our attention at the Euros... It looked like [Edin] Dzeko wouldn't come off because the agents wanted so much money and everything was so complicated, so I called Kalle [Rummenigge]. What do you think of Mandzukic? He said 'hmmm'. We talked to Heynckes, he agreed as well." Here are Bayern's scouting strategy and their inner machinations, summed up in one paragraph.

Disturbing.

Well, Marca reports that Javi was at the league office in Madrid this morning paying his buyout and is now a Bayern player. Don't trust them as a reliable source though because they report so many falsehoods.

"Athletic wishes to make clear that at no time did they authorize the trip of their player Javier Martinez to Munich on Aug. 28," Athletic said in a statement.

What a bunch of fags. My short mini-fandom with Athletic is over. Going to unlike them on facebook right now.

And finally this

With a membership of 185,000, FC Bayern is far and away the biggest club in Germany, and is also on the move in the international rankings too. Of all the clubs in the world, only Lisbon giants Benfica boast a larger membership roll at 224,000. The new figures also mean Germany’s most successful club has overtaken Barcelona (170,000 members) and now rates as the second-largest on the planet.

Very cool. Still don't know why I haven't made my fandom official and become a member. And Benfica... wow.
