FC Infesta - A new CM experience - Come try it yourself!

Congratulations on your Cup win manufan.
I agree that finding a "magical" tactic seems a bit difficult. I'm assuming after a while the computer AI catches up with you. Or is this due to their scouting of your team, just as we scout theirs? Or, were you speaking of changing the tactic while the game is in progress?
BTW, still waiting for other American managers.
Rookie Question: How large a part does coaching play in CM0102?
My team lost Coach Amancio to a premier team in early November, therefore leaving Asst. Manager Antonio as the only coach. The staff search yielded absolutely pitiful choices, with no double digit ratings for any of the candidates. I decided to wait for better staff transfers to appear.
Team play became worse. After a 3-2 loss to Porto, we suffered our worse defeat (5-2) at Freamunde. This was followed by a 3-1 loss to Famalicao and a 2-1 loss to Vizela.
Upon casually checking a few players attitudes (several were UNHAPPY and "did not have confidence in the manager"), I noticed Amaral's FINISHING rating had dropped and Bruno's HANDLING rating dropped. Granted, I did not print out the entire team attribute listing at the beginning of the season (I will next time!) and I may be mistaken.
As I understand, CM updates player ratings in June and in December. But has anyone else noticed player ratings changing during the season?
I quickly went on a coaching search and found two player/coaches available. But no transfers are allowed until December 15! (This was also complicated by the fact that one of the player/coaches was Azeri, and I already had my limit of non-EU players!) During the week preceeding the transfer date, we won against a horrible Braganza team (2-0) and managed a close 2-1 victory over Sandinenses. So, on December 15, we add the player/coaches and we follow with a great 2-0 victory over Leixoes (aided by the ejection of Antchout for headbutting Marcelo!)
Player ratings have improved (Peralta has DRIBBLING=20), but is this due to the introduction of coaches or to the normal CM updating in December (assuming it does not occur at the end of the month)? Again, has anyone noticed changes occurring DURING the normal course of season play? and can you readily explain them by: coaching changes, unhappy attitudes, injuries, new contracts, transfer listing, etc.?
BTW, this experimental evaluation of CM was a primary factor for me suggesting we all play FC Infesta. I realize many of you enjoy the competition of taking the team to its highest attainable level, but I'm having a blast trying to figure out what makes this game tick!

Okay, I got myself ome free time to play CM and this is what I have so far: 3-2-2, out of the cup due to a home loss to Penafiel (2nd league), lots of injured players, including Marcelo, who has been our hero for most of the games...
I've been having superb performances by Amaral and Marcelo. Also Pedro Nuno has been very solid in the back. I arranged a couple transfers that should make us a bit stronger in the midfield.
First division club Beira-Mar stole one of our two scouts and I haven't been able to replace him. Seems like nobody wants to be our scout...
Carlos, either I've been very inattentive or the rating did change in 4 or 5 players. Amaral and Pedro Nuno do seem to have improved ratings, while Bruno's skills have dropped.
Oh, and I got my exam's result...I did well.

We are in the 14th place. This season has been the worst in more than 10 years, but we kind of expected it to be, since we're currently in a renovation process. Our team was getting too old, so we have a lot of young guys, which ffected our chemistry. If we can hang on, we'll do better next year.
I agree, both Manufan and Dave_H hooked some great players. All I got was Pinheiro and Cannigia (not that one, rather a young talented portuguese player).
Btw, I have 4 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses.
