I've been playing some matches in MM and I'm surprised of what I'm gonna say: the 4 pre-season matches were much more realistic than the season's ones. I won 3 of the pre-season matches ande tied the last one against Lyon 0-0 what was great. I should explain why this zero tied was so great.

I started the match with most of my starting players depressed (dark red morale) and a few of the subs were in good shape (pale green morale). Besides, I were to play at Lyon's stadium so I decide to play a 4-5-1 focusing on defense and playing counteratack. The match was a real battle with few goal chances (6-4 if I remeber well) and a fierce defence in my side, they only had to avoid the 1 on 1 situations which was a succed.

The first season match faced me against Valencia at Vicente Calderón (my home stadium) and man, they started like they were high on cocaine making a huge pressure and scoring a goal at the 4rd minute. Luckly I managed to get a 2-1 just before halftime thanks to a penalty. The second half were much more relaxed.

Next I went to Santander to play against Racing and that was an crazy game. I won 4-2 but I was leading 3-0 since the 20 minutes of play. The first half ended 4-1 and they score their second and final goal at the second half. The defence of both teams was awfull, giving huge spaces.

I have the sensation that in pre-season matches I needed to build up the attack to score goals, but in the season ones, I only need to be faster than my rivals.

I'll play 10 minutes half and see if something changes.

EDIT: I've just play a 10 minutes match against Levante at its Stadium and I won 3-7. All the time I've had a superiority sensation, knowing that every shot will be a goal. When I was winning 1-3 (at 25 minutes of play, they again scored at minute 4) I started to do crazy things like having the ball with Aguero in the midfield and running trought the defense to score a goal (he scored twice that way) or to gave an assistance (he gave 1 to Forlan). I'm very sad to say that but, I was hoping the match to end, 'cause it has zero excitement.

I hope you'll understand I really like your job and I'm gratefull to you for sharing it, what was on top was just my hummble opinion.

I've just tested it and man, you really scared me :innocent_smile_1: the players were like Speedie Gonzalez, with that DB the transitions were a tale. I'll wait till you'll send the good one.

yes video is correct but if passing is set to semi or manual is ok, assisted pass is doing this and is something that only EA can fix :)

Hehe we dont even have this Pro passing system
for FIFA 11 PC :) its for console FIFA 11.
The dif on assist is minor compare to FIFA 10 with 11 on console. Pro passing is just marketing trck if you ask me :S So dont think we lost a lot. But it would have been nice to start from Pro passing base and then get modding :)))

Anyway tested few games with new ETGD and the GK chnages are great. They come out often from their box, even on corners, bashing the ball far. I played litle and didnt get all situation i think GK should come out 100 % (close in box passing, bouncing ball) so will report more later. Defence last line is playing realy close now, effectively close lot of gaps, need to see how this effect wing penetration. Shot/pass power/speed got changed or ?

I have one complain: Robin Van Persie should have 99 Curve :bob:
(not that i didnt made him :P)

Ok will test more with MM and give back report.
All on all great changes, from what was great DB now is even betta :D

thanx,, ill try to set passing to semi,,, btw 1on1 with goalkepper should be improve because its definitely score when cpu did it and ball physic should be more weight just a lil,,, sorry bad english hehe

EDIT: yes i've changed shot power it was too much, and pass, now cpu will make wrong passes, and the way it plays you wont feel that you play against cpu but against a legendary level user.

in v2 1 on 1 is a situation that you have to try hard to get, and when you do, you need to be a good finisher and even if you are you may loose it, and ppl should really stop using finness shot its "cheating" if you ask me.

played some matches, both exhibition and MM, and I can tell that the new beta is focusing in defenders and GK, which seems had a noticeable improvements.

so, my first time impression was..GREAT!

I must admit, since your second beta the defenders now act like what they should in real life. And in this version, they defend their area in a better way. I found that, now they're not always marking the opponents (both CPU and User AI), but efficiently close the "room" so strikers won't get a cheap shots all the time. Looks like they won't risking their position trying to get the ball, and cleverly close to every inch of the field so we won't pass them easily.

I don't know, but I think they panic too..when we press them hard, they always like, kicking the ball out of their area, safety first:D
oh, current defending style makes 1 on 1 situation is rarely happen..but still possible since the defenders make a very logic mistakes like fail to guess where's the ball will be passed or where's player will move next. (love it, real life like defenders, goodbye mister always-know-where-to-go).

GK
better reflex, positioning, makes scoring is now a real challenge. 1 on 1 situations is no longer means 98% goals. And better yet, they can anticipate "the low shots" issue, thanks to the better reaction. NICE!

sometimes they came out of position to tip or catch the ball during cross or corner kick, which is very good, too bad it's not happen too often.

oh, game speed is slower now, honestly, previous one is suit me good enough, but that's not a problem, just the matter of time 'till I get use to it:)
and then, shoot speed is decreased, I like it better, perfect!

the mentality, did you tweak it or something? I feels like every time the CPU is trailing they always playing so high, tight pressure, always trying to win the ball but also, makes a lot of mistakes:D
otherwise, when they're leading..they concentrate to secure their score while maintain a constant attack on us.
I know I have mention this mentality thingy before, but now it's more and more visible.


all I can say after these early test..the new beta is bring the game into next level of reality, not much from previous version, but it brings a lot of excitements than before and I hope more to come along with the final release. Glad to be your testers mate;)

Hey @taptaptap, im glad too i have serious testers and not the one phrase testers ;)

Well i feel that this version of beta is the realy realy close to final version, i like the variety in attack they are doing it all! on midfield and thats actualy the "secret" of defence in v2, when the CF has the ball the CM will try to surround him and the CB will go realy close but carefuly not to be dribbled, to close spaces to block through pass or shot.

My focus was every little move/action by cpu to reflect not a cpu that make billion calculation in a half second and choose his best move but to play with a footballer mind, thats why a defender when he will be realy pressed maybe he will panic he will react like a real defender and he will clear the ball sending it wherever he can, and here comes a personality and who the defender is, a class defender will panic less etc.

as for GK's im realy proud about them they add a great missing bonus in gameplay.

goals in v2 are never the same, even each attack isnt the same.

i will add more personality to more low level players and i think v2 would be perfect!

I've played just one match with the new DB (don't blame me is weekend!) and it has lights and shadows. First of all, I saw you changed some players positions and I have a little complain about it.

You set Valera's and Ujfalusi's default position as right backs when Valera is a right midfielder and Ujfalusi a center back. Both are used as right backs, as Perea is, 'cause Atletico Madrid has no natural player at this position, and that's why our defense is so weak. Also, you set Reyes and Siamo as left midfielders, but they prefer to play as left wing forwards. I guess you did that in order to make they play better in the 4-4-2 schema.

Now let's focus on GP. As taptaptap sayd GK and defence have improved a lot but still too easy to get a 1 on 1 situation, I had 5 on the match, one ended in a goal (after a corner counteratack) three were saved by the GK (very improved) and the last one went out for inches.

Most of the 1 on 1 I get were the same way. One of my players gets the ball at 15 meters of the area and one of my center forwards runs into the defence line. Sometimes, the 2 center backs went mad and both rushed into the carrier, who only has to pass the ball into the rushing forward 'cause the defence wingers brake the outside trap. I think the matter is that the defence line doesn't act as a line but as individuals.

I found one thing interesting, now some first touch controls ended with a loose ball, which is much more realistic than all those perfect controls all the players make. Other thing that could help improving realism is having more faults in the game. For me, the game speed is almost perfect, maybe a little to fast.

I'll keep playing and posting.

as for positions, in v2 i've changed them for thousand of players, i know Ujfalusi is CB but since he always plays as a RB, if i set him as first position CB, fifa will mainly uses him as CB, and when a user playing him as RB his overall and his stats will go down, so 1st position is RB, 2nd CB

same goes for Reyes, if i put him as WF, since Atletico always plays 4-4-2 playing as SM will lower his stats, and i have the WF in 2nd position.

I see people noticed same things :)
- The ref realy need to call lot more fauls.. donno if you change something but its realy dif from the previous ver. For both side not only me. I think there is only one mode of ref
"Phil Dowd" is everywhere.... Changes in defence makes AI teams choke the box when you push, they dont give you easy shots anymore, far or close to the box they block a lot, so you need to play smarter and use pasing back to open their def. Istill fill that AI let you on wings to easy. Played vs Real Madrid with Lokomotiv Moskva, RealM hadzero agresivity even when they lose. Andwithout it was able to control the game all the time (they got me on counter attacks :D ) to fast for my slow Ruski :D Then took Galatasaray vs Manchester U. Even if i was able to control the game MU was supperior in pass game and pressure to Real Madrid. They had medium press on start and well build up the game with nice pass and move without ball. And as time pass with 1 down they pressure more and more even after they got goal somehting i i didnt saw in the 2-3 games vs Real.I guess different agressive stlyle depend of what tactic teams us, but as MU change RealM should do same, with timer agressivity and moral changing :S. Lots of mistakes from AI, sometimes when they got the ball they want to press to fast and make risky pass, even if i intercept its nice change, and sometimes can use long fast pass and open you easy over 2/3 of the pitch.
So changes are realy nice:
-GK improved
-Def closer zone play and better marking
-Change of moral depend of score
-Change on agressivity as time pass
-pass mistakes

Only think i dont like it (well its from original AI) is the ref dont call for fauls, its strage couse i comment on the first ver you gave me that ref call lot more fauls on coalison. Saw some big changes in atrributs, some players (more on top teams) have 95 str and well others are on 20-30 or 50-60 this make big dif in direct duel, this is why berbatov wasted my CBs on Galatasaray. Is this is how you wanted or? I fell like the early ver was more balance at that

EDIT: arifutama1996 you should be able to make the transfers your self its easy using Database Master 11 if you cant wait :). you can find the file you need on the forum. Regualrcat is sharing on his link with wintertransfer. Dont think will impact the gameplay.
