Its not working yet, you have to wait a bit more for the new version 0.62

I am currently working on an vertex color layer creator, trying to imitate ea's colors. Thats why the new version is not up yet.

Forget the ea standard stadiums mate, I wasted 2 weeks with them, constant crash and nopt working, build your own it works perfectly

hi i get this error whenever i try to import any texture file



- clean ups: check
- run as admin: check
- tried with blend2.68 and 2.67b(like sepak did)
- i even watched out how to name the folders where the browsed files are(good unicode characters)
- windows 8, 64 bit(yes my blender is 64bit too)

+ could be problem that the language on my win isnt english?..../it wasnt a problem on xp with blender earlier while i was making faces for PES/

The files don't seem to have any naming errors. The language could possibly be an issue.

First of all please post the full paths because i can't see them from the screenshot. Simply select them from the blender path boxes, and paste them here.

Also send me the files just to check them myself.

Now to the news,
thanks to the huge contribution of shawminator, i have coded an autopainting operator. This one is meant to be used just to fasten the process of the stadium setup, because i understand how hard it is to paint correctly each face of each mesh and then realize that you have made an error and go all over again and apply that to all meshes and stuff like that.

The operator works based on some empirical rules that we (basically shaw, so you can blame him as much as you want), on how ea decides what color to use on each mesh. Those rules will be in the documentation which is ready and will be deployed together with the new version of the script. These rules produce a map close enough to the EA ones, but NOT exactly the same. And what the testing has shown is that even small color changes are leading to completely different results ingame.
So FOR SURE there will be cases that you will need to get in there and tweak the color yourself. For now you have a good basis to work with.


I'll do some more testing on that and release the 0.62 kraken. I'll also upload the new template together with the documentation.


PS: For easier more direct and more immediate news posting, i also made a facebook page for the blog, so there will be surely more news on the tools, you can leave your messages for errors and stuff and all the releases links will be there too :D

Hi, arianos10. Your tool is great, thanks for it.

But i have a small problem. May be this question have been already mentioned. I tried to import your blender template and decided to export it as a stadium. But when i clicked on the special button nothing happened.

what do you mean nothing happend. I bet you did not check the fifa_tools folder. you will propably find the created files there.


Btw i don't think if i mentioned that, but in 0.62 you can select the file id, the day or night version and more importantly the export directory is working now :D

i see only dds textures in this path, but not the rx3

You are surely doing something wrong. But if you are still uncomfortable with that you can wait for the 0.62 version that will be available either tonight, or tomorrow.

Well basically you don't need to add shadow on the pitch, because of the fifa default shadow system. It will add it itself. I also encourage you NOT to use your pitch. Use the one that is on the template or an imported from an original stadium.

in blender the paths look like this for every .rx3, here is an example for the faces folder(tried with different players too so that face cant be the problem i guess)

C:\Users\Gabor\Desktop\fifafiles\data\sceneassets\faces\

but in original language

C:\Felhasználó\Gabor\Asztal\fifafiles\data\sceneassets\faces\

could be an issue that i have win8 64bit and my blender (64 bit too)is installed in Programfiles(x86) not in Programdata or in Program Files folders?

What you could try is download a portable blender version. And put it in C. This way you will surely not have issues with paths. Also move your files to paths with only unicode characters.

Windows 8 64 bit and that program files path should not be a problem.

itself? how make it , my stadium is no shadow, do I neednt ambiant texture??

that makes sense if i remember right is used the portable version while was editing PES models, gonna try when im back from work
