HBZ + Moddingway sounds impressive! It doesn't get any better than that it seems.
Harry, here is some feedback (whether for the 19-20 or 20-21 mod):
1. National Teams
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't found a DB version with more than 60 national teams.
Even if there are issues with having more national teams playable in Career Mode, it would be awesome to have more of them even in "Rest of the World" section for friendlies and tournaments outside of CM.
Teams like Iran, Algeria, Ghana, Montenegro, Albania, Belarus, China, Panama etc and Qatar as soon to be 2022 hosts would be great to have! Maybe
@ovide could help out here with his National teams patch DB and graphics.
Another reason to have those national teams are the awesome stadiums Gonzaga made for many of them. Personally I really like starting a game somewhere in Ghana and thinking wow their stadium looks so unlike those we have here.
2. Stadiums
Speaking of stadiums, there are many of them available by Gonzaga and other authors online, but they are not used in the mod.
I do understand that adding more stadiums is not as easy as it could be, but these are some of the ones I noticed that are available but not present in the mod:
Stadio Artemio Franchi (Fiorentina), Stadio Luigi Ferraris (Genoa and Sampdoria), Stade Geoffroy-Guichard (Saint-Etienne), Matmut Atlantique (Bordeaux), Stade Pierre-Mauroy (Lille), Allianz Riviera (Nice), Stadium Municipal (Touluse), VEB Arena (CSKA Moscow), VTB Arena (Dinamo Moscow), Akhmat Arena (Akhmat Grozny) etc plus it would be great to have club versions of Brazil 2014 stadiums for Brazilian League and Copa Libertadores (currently they have WC 2014 dressing, updated versions can be found in
fernold's thread; same dressing comment applies to Russia 2018 stadiums - currently all stadiums feature WC 2018 dressing and Gonzaga has released updated League versions since then as well).
3. Details
- Fedor Kudryashov from Antalyaspor has his jersey name as Fedor (might be due to his last name being difficult for the Turks, idk) but since he's an NT player, his jersey name should be Kudryashov.
- The Russian PL font used is a but faulty (names like C. Ronaldo will be displayed as C/ Ronaldo), I'll attach a fixed version (font 201).
- M. Allegri (the name) is set as Juventus manager, when it should be Sarri.
- I noticed that you assigned similar sounding commentary names to players like Mbappe and De Ligt who don't have any by default, that's great! Would be awesome to see more instances like that, e.g. for Mario Fernandes of CSKA Moscow and Russia (commentary name Fernandes could be quite common).
- Would be great to have more jersey/shorts/socks combinations for popular teams. E.g. black shorts for Man United, Milan and Juventus home kits, white shorts for Tottenham and Inter home kits, full white and full red kits for Spartak Moscow etc.
4. Getting help from different league fans
It might be an utopia but I've always dreamed about a community mod where many people from different countries would contribute to the common goal of making an ultimate Patch and I believe HBZ mod as a base is the closest we can come to it.
For example, I've found new interest in the Russian PL recently with all these WC2018 stadiums and rebranding into something modern, so I took HBZ mod as a base and added correct Stadiums, Banners, Adboards, Faces, Fonts etc for the Russian PL. I can upload it all if you want.
I understand it's nearly impossible for one person to cover every single league in full detail, so it would be really cool if people who know their stuff in other leagues created these kinds of add-ons for your mod base (e.g. I know nothing about Brazilian League but I would love to play it with all stadiums and adboards and so on).
Just a suggestion - maybe you can post "add-on task listings" for fans of different leagues.
