thats inters problem SB9, u think u can bring in a bunch of new plyers, that's what inter does every season, lol......they need a to get players and build a team around them, then buy some players in positions they lack depth in, example: defence.

if they get 100 million euros, theyll buy a whole new team and they wont gel the first season and theyll be back to square 1

not a whole new team.
just a star defender and a star attacker
possible a star midfielder too
adding that up only makes 3

Exactly. Major (as in signing allstars, not simply picking up free agents) changes would be made (not really a mass revolution like some of you think).

Anywayz what's with Barbarosa pretty much being signed? His agent has pretty much said that he's being signed to replace Toldo? Then what's the point of Carini and Julio Cesar? I'm so confused? I don't get what the club is trying to do signing 3 young GKs for one spot. Are they (Barbarosa and J. Cesar) simply going to replace Toldo and Fontana, and then fight for the starting position? Will our GK's be rotated? It will be very interesting to see what happens next.

BTW I'm overjoyed that we are seriously linked with Esposito. If he coul dbe added and placed on the RW and Taddei on the LW that would simply be fantastic. Perhaps then we wouldn't need Veron.

-------Taddei-----Stankovic-----Cambiasso----Esposito

CRUZ, VIERI STRIKES SINK SIENA
Sunday, 01 May 2005 17:06:21
MILAN - Inter beat Siena 2-0 at the Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday afternoon thanks to first-half goals from Julio Cruz (pen) and Christian Vieri. The result puts Mancini's men six points clear of fourth-placed sides Sampdoria and Udinese.

Julio Cruz gave Inter a dream start after Obafemi Martins was brought down in the box by Manninger in the opening minute. El Jardinero sent the Siena keeper the wrong way from the spot and found the bottom left-hand corner to register his third goal in as many games, and ninth of the season.

Unable to continue after sustaining a thigh knock midway through the first half, Cruz was replaced by Christian Vieri on 24 minutes. And it took Bobogol just seven minutes to make an impact on the game, his far post header from Kily's excellent left-wing cross giving the Nerazzurri a 2-0 lead.

Majestic approach play by Juan Veron created numerous chances for Obafemi Martins to increase Inter's lead in the second half, but the Nigerian failed to capitalise. Oba went close again on 71 minutes but found the side-netting after dribbling three opponents.

On a positive note, Brazilian forward Adriano came on for the last ten minutes to make his return to competitive action after the back problem suffered in the Champions League quarter-final return leg against Milan.

==================================================

Great for the side to win after last weeks shock defeat. Mancini probably has no doubts that a 4-4-2 with wingers is the best option for this side. Shame that Cruz had to get injured because he has been instrumental in the 2nd part of the season with so many injuries. Though atleast Adriano and Vieri are back. But what's up with Martins? He's lost his scoring touch. Shame our strikers can't go on scoring runs AT THE SAME TIME. But atleast one of them always gets the job done.

Veron was solid this game and I think he's a must sign for next season. Karagounis finally played and he did well on the RW, definately should stick around. Kily was alright and the defense held Siena.

Overall a good victory and if I'm not wrong I think our next match is against Cagliari in the Coppa Italia (something we have a chance to win)

FORZA BOBOGOL!!!!!!!!!!! I was estatic when he came on and scored that great goal. Inter completely dominated Siena in the first half it was ridiculous. Missed the 2nd half, but pleased with the result.

I believe we play Brescia on the 8th then Cagliari on the 12th for Coppa Italia. Adriano wears tape around his wrists I think. He always wears it.

Inter in for Kuffour
by Thomas Zeh - created on 6 May 2005

Internazionale are reported to be in talks with Sammy Kuffour.

The Bayern Munich star is out of contract in the summer and he has shunned an offer to remain in Germany.

Now Inter are believed to be discussing terms with the 28-year-old.

Kuffour, who has been with Bayern for 11 seasons, has played just ten times this season and has decided it is time to sever his ties with the club.

"I would have liked to have kept him, but he hasn't reacted to our offer of a new contract," Bayern director Ulli Hoeness told Bild.

Kuffour was close to joining Newcastle in January, but a move to Tyneside never materialised and he now looks as if he is on his way to Serie A.

----

Honestly I don't know much about him. Well at least he's under 30 :nape:

I don't know what to say about Kuffour. He use to be great back in the late 90s but to be honest I haven't kept up much with how he's progressed since then. If he's as good as he use to be then I'd be all for adding him, but I've heard a lot about him being slow and unreliable so I'm not to sure. Any Bundesliga fans who can share some light on Sammy?

He played a few games at the start of the season but didn't make it to the squad due to his crappy performances in the last months.

A poor man's Zebina.

Rumors about INTER MILAN: Fiore, Corradi, Elano, Dudu, Mascherano

Inter Milan opens a negotiation with Valencia for Stefano Fiore and for Bernardo Corradi also: Valencia can choose between Kily, Van der Meyde or Karagounis.

Two young brazilian player as new targets of Inter Milan: Dudu, new Brazilian talent, 22 years old powerful midfielder with great technique; and Elano Blumer, in force to Santos.

Inter Milan is moving to make an offer to River Plate for Mascherano.

Also, rumour that Parma's Fabio Simplicio could sign with Inter. He has the same agent as Adriano and he might be able to bring a little creative spark to the midfield. I would rather see Morfeo though :)

Spurs eye Inter stars
by Patrick Goss - created on 7 May 2005

Tottenham are rumoured to have bid for Obafemi Martins and Emre Belozoglu of Serie A giants Internazionale.

Martin Jol is keen to continue the renaissance he has triggered at White Hart Lane and attention has already switched to which players will arrive in the summer.

The Italian press are suggesting that Spurs have submitted bids for Martins and Emre - although the latter is far more likely to move.

Nigerian Martins is considered as one of the stars of the future by Inter, with the pacey striker already emerging as a key forward this season because of the fitness problems for Christian Vieri and star man Adriano.

It is highly unlikely that Inter supremo Massimo Moratti would allow the forward to leave - with suggestions that a price well in excess of £20 million has already been placed on the player.

Emre is another story, with the Turkish playmaker expected to depart for pastures new this summer.

The lively midfielder would be available for a mooted fee of around £9 million - but Spurs could find themselves bidding against rivals Arsenal for his services.

---------

Are you kidding me? Inter won't give up Oba. Moratti would be signing his death wish if he got rid of him now. They can have Emre though.

Also:

Inter star Ivan Cordoba slapped a supporter on Friday evening and Coach Roberto Mancini claims the defender was right to do so.

The ‘Corriere della Sera’ reported the incident this morning, as Colombian international Cordoba struck the young man who chanted ‘You never win’ as he walked through Milan city centre.

“If my son told me he was slapped because of that, then I’d give him another so that he’d understand it isn’t right to be so rude to complete strangers,” said Mancini in today’s Press Conference.

This incident overshadows the upturn in the Nerazzurri’s fortunes and they have been at the centre of controversy over the last couple of weeks.

Cordoba was also involved in the off the ball clash that saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic given a three-match ban, forcing him to miss Sunday’s Scudetto showdown with Milan. Juventus have made no bones about pointing the finger of blame at Cordoba for “simulating injury.”

“I spoke to Cordoba and he is a humble man who is rarely pushed to take such action, so I believe him. They were making fun of him and he reacted with a little slap.”

Mancini rushed to his player’s defence then and started his Press Conference with a statement that highlighted his increasingly angry state of mind.

“Before anyone asks me any questions, I wish to say a few things. For a couple of weeks now newspapers have been writing about events that never happened, so I wish to clarify that there was no argument between patron Massimo Moratti and President Giacinto Facchetti after our 2-1 defeat at Messina. The same applies for the supposed row I had with Adriano.”

The relationship between Inter and the Press has always been fractious, but has only deteriorated over the last few months.

“If you want respect, then you have to give it back,” continued Mancini. “I understand that it’s the favourite pastime of journalists to try and destabilise Inter, but I would at least appreciate it if they stuck to reporting true events, otherwise I’ll stop giving respect as well.”
