BTW, i say we have two transfer threads, one is the 2006 Transfer Thread and the other one is 2006 Chelsea Transfer Thread.

Haha :fool:

I don't think the Premier League is over like some say. Liverpool & Man. Utd. depending on what they buy this summer can make a push.

Well, they better hope Chelsea don't want the same players because we saw what happened with Mikkel.

Chelsea = The New Galacticos

The hard part is that with all the world class players they will have to find a way to give them all playing time, maybe they could make a new team :fool:

Nope, the top position will stay the same, 2-4 will finish rougly the same with possibly Manchester United slipping to 4th (sorry Manchester United fans but you are getting left behind)
Which is why United finished 2nd and had enough points to win the league in non-Chelsea seasons, without a midfield. Even with a midfielder who is just good and not great, it would have been a much better race. ALAN SMITH, JOHN O'SHEA, RYAN GIGGS, DARREN FLETCHER. Smith is a striker, Giggs a winger, Fletcher an attacking midfielder, and O'Shea primarily a defender. How can you say that United are getting left behind, when so much of their potential (and current ability) is in their young players like Rooney and Ronaldo who keep getting better? Whatever, this isn't a United thread so I'll leave it there.

Congrats to Chelsea for getting one of the premier strikers in the world. 34 million would be an insane amount for him, in my opinion, but it's not like money is an issue.

Absolutley pathetic...I can't wait till what is happening to Real Madrid happens to Chelski. All these rock start footballers will NOT gel into the unit that other teams will. BTW, yes i do see other teams challenging them for the title next year...the Arsenal...followed distantly by Liverpool then Man U

Why are people comparing Chelsea to Real Madrid? Abramovich is not Perez. Mourinho is not whatever coach Madrid had in the past 3 years. Mourinho has freedom at Chelsea to control, something that madrid coaches didn't have and i am sure that he knows exactly how to play all of his players.

BTW, i love how United are so underrated right now, it seems like our average age is 35, we are playing worse and worse each year, can't buy no one new and Arsenal and Liverpool are the super powers of tomorrow.

so whats next for Milan..their best striker is gone now. Will they sign some other big name to fill Sheva shoes ??

Chelsea play different football style then Milan does so Sheva might not be that good afterall.

posted this in the other thread..

Unlike mostly reported by English press, the fee paid was £45m. I think this is because Mourinho was reluctant on letting Gallas go.

Sheva will earn around €9m a year plus maybe some free English lessons.

He's earning almost double his €5m wage at Milan.

Now, Milan shall rebuild.

Milan linked with Ibrahimovic and Adriano to replace Sheva. But its been said a few times that Sheva is already the best in the world, why try replace him? Instead, streghten the midfield and buy a cheap striker (linked with David Suazo, Cagliari, scored some 20+ goals in Serie A) then use the remaining cash to reinforce the midfield. Gilberto Silva, Emerson and Steven Gerrard have all been mentioned.

I personally hope for Stevie G or Ibrahimovic. Gerrard is highly unlikely, but I like to dream.

And honestly, Milan's gonna be stronger next season.

btw, when Nesta joined Milan he was so damn sad he had to leave Lazio. Sheva is all smiles now. Yeah, English language.
