i just have one question. how do u get ibra as a soviet star? since when was sweden part of the soviet union? oh and not to mention bosnia where his family is actually from. bosnia like my country macedonia is in the balcans. so u got a nordic country and a balkan country?? where does soviet fit into that?

but if u mean abramovich then i fully understand.

by the way congrats chelsea fans u hys have urself a great forward. being a serie a freak i have worshipped sheva!

I believe he was reffering to the fact that they all hail from former communist countries. but the sweden thing.....I don't know.

i dont think this signing will win chelsea another league title. man utd will sign better midfielders and will put up a good fight. liverpool will get better too. you cant say its over before it starts.

I don't think Kalou and Ballack will add anything new to this Chelsea team... Shevchenko maybe... just a couple more goals...

But then again, if Man Utd reinforces that midfield, and get a world class striker to replace RVN... then, they should have enough arguments to oppose Chelsea...

And don't forget Arsenal.... they have a much stronger team now... the chemistry between the players have improved and now they're showing all of their potential as a team...

Liverpool and Spurs... well... they don't stand a chance to compete for the first three places... Man Utd and Arsenal do... this time, I don't think it will be a walk in the park for Chelsea... just my 2 cents... let's wait and see!

unless Chelsea build the team around Sheva, its gonna be the same with Lampard finishing as top scorer.

each of the top 4 clubs are or will be stronger next season, but you'd have to say chelsea are the favorites.

i don't think anyone will or should expect them to have the trophy handed over to them, but the fact is, an already strong team has just gotten stronger.

Love d fact u didnt even mention Rooney or any oder EPL stars..jus chelsea ones!! :)

Thats because the posts previous to mine were Chelsea related Jatin. If you read my post you will see that I am speaking from a Chelsea point of view. There was no reason whatsoever to mention any other players but Chelsea ones.

With Sheva, Droba, Kalou, Gudjohnsen, and Crespo it's definitely time for Mourinho to move to the two striker formation. How else would you be able to satisfy all those players?

BTW Chelsea to win the Premiership by 25 points next season if they gel into a team.

I still think Gallas is coming.

But honestly, I dont want him at CB. He'll ruin the Nesta-Kaladze partnership.

The only site I trust is the beeb, and they claim its for just over 30.8 million, or 45m Euro. The 60 figure I havent seen bandied about anywhere

Chelsea fans know well how wasteful Drogba can be playing by himself. If Sheva gets the same service and knowing how well he can put away his chances, he will score 20 in his sleep. My worry is whether he will stay healthy

Sheva's not gonna last 4 years there. Already there are talks in a few seasons he'll be playing for Dortmund when Chelsea get Nuri Sahin.

you are so self deluded and bitter its absolutely hillarious, and while this was obviously a joke (you didnt even get the positions right) the fact that I had to do a double take says it all.

And there is a slim chance, but if we manage to extend Gallas for all five years after having gotten Shevchenko at that price (H)

You will have the honour and the pleasure of watching, week in and week out, great players like Ballack, Terry, Shevchenko, Lampard, Cole, Makalele, Essien, Gallas, Cech, Carvalho, Robben, Duff, SWP and maybe even Crespo and Drogba. Add to that Kalou and Diarra and Bridge, Paulo Ferreira, Geremi and Gudjohnson.

No, he will have the honour and pleasure of watching a MAXIMUM of 14 of those 19 players per week. Factor in the fact that a lot of them will be riding the bench, out of match practice, form and confidence and therefore playing crap, there isn't that much left to enjoy...... would have been better watching ALL of them playing for their respective teams in any given week

So enjoy the next few years, where Chelsea signs any and every footballer and has 5 top-class imported squads. And best of luck in searching for your new club when Abramovich bails :jap:

Its 31million pounds.

This can be gathered by the fact Kenyon and Shevchenko were both unsure if this just pipped Ferdinands transfer fee of roughly 30million. If it was 45million then we all know its a record transfer.
