I don't care that it is a direct port,I am happy that I get to play the damn thing and I will no longer have to be forced to play FIFA's B.S. games.

yep it's a direct port from PES2, with minor unimportant changes, which isn't bad considering u ppl only get fifa there, although it's not as good as we6fe. I'm european and i have we6fe imported .... sure it comes in japanese but u can easily patch it to english as long as u own a modchip. Of course this woudn't be necessary if Konami released the same version for us all instead of releasing 2 series a year for the japanese and 1 (the worst) to us. I admit i got a warez version of we6i, which i know it's final instead of what some noobs here said, not proud of it nor advertising it somehow, just letting all interested in buying the game that u'll only get pes2 nothing more

same here, I am still playing FIFA 2003 but as soon I get WE6 here in Canada then I believe I won't play FIFA BS any more..

I will still buy the game here in Canada no matter what they say. I think the guy who started this thread is an EA agent or something putting Konami's great far superior to FIFA down. Well it won't help budy, I will buy it and I won't buy FIFA 2004 unless I am happy with the Demo.

When FIFA 2002 came which I was not impressed at all, I mean that game just sucked big time. I had no PL at that time so I read a post in these forums that I can play ISS2 on an emulator. I got the game and got the emulator and the drivers for it and tryed ISS2. I loved it except the graphics. In my openion ISS2 is better then FIFA 2003 in gameplay wise. I played both alot of times.
Here are some reasons that ISS2 is better than FIFA 2003
1. In ISS2 you can make header passes, in FIFA 2003 you can't (what a joke).
2. In ISS2 recieving the ball from a cross is not scripted, but in FIFA 2003 it is.
3. In ISS2 you can score lots of different types of goals in FIFA 2003 you get to score the same types of goals.
4. In ISS2 the CPU forwards won't go through your defenders to score goals easily instead they will work hard to score a goal, in FIFA 2003 CPU walks through my defence to score a goal.
5. In ISS2 you can actually control your header power, in FIFA 2003 the attacker will not be able to produce a powerful header (its horible) unless if it is close to the goal line, same goes for the volleys from crosses.
6. In ISS2 when I cross the ball I can control the ball with my attackers either tap it to my player, header to the net, volley..... do what ever you want, but with FIFA 2003 the player is scripted and he will just volley or header softly to the net without you pressing anything.
Any one else has anything to add?

Whether WE6:I is a direct conversion of PES2 or not isn't the factor here. The only important point is that in comparison to PES2/WE6:I FIFA 2003 is a bag of dog crap that deserves to be thrown in the dumpster.
PES2, even if that's what we're getting by another name, is so far superior to anything we've ever had here in North America. Beleive me, you will not touh FIFA 2003 again except to kick it out of your house or try and sell it to some dork for $1.
PES2 rules. I only have the freaking PSX version on an emulator and even that's still light years ahead of what FIFA could ever attain.
