Just thinking out loud here, what does that make these high profile players that will go there for the big paycheck?? :browsmiley:
hah, come on man, Monaco is exactly about that: glitz, glamour, decadence, opulence ...

3 players from Monaco? Fuck that, they should get Bale, Chiellini and Yaya. And Dani Alves to make up for when they won't get Ivanovic.

That would be my Monaco year I

and on the year II they should dominate this 4-3-3 to compete in the CL

I've been keeping an eye on Ligue 1 due to Ajaccio and Memo Ochoa, but now I will cause of Monaco even if Memo goes to another league

Senior Squad

PSG, OM straight to CL, Lyon to play qualifications. Nice, ASSE straight to EL + winner of the French Cup to join them. Nancy, Troyes and Brest to Ligue 2.

Top scorers:
Zlatan (PSG) 30
Aubameyang (ASSE) 19
Cvitanich (Nice) 19

Top assists:
Valbuena (OM) 12
Payet (Lille) 12
Danic (Valenciennes) 11

Best player
Zlatan (PSG)

Best youngster
Thauvin (Bastia)

Best goalkeeper
Sirigu (PSG)

Best coach
Split between Ancelotti and Galtier (ASSE)

L1 team of the season:
GK Sirigu (PSG)
DF Jallet (PSG), N'Koulou (OM), T. Silva (PSG), Maxwell (PSG)
MF Payet (Lille), Matuidi (PSG), Veratti (PSG), Aubameyang (ASSE)
FW Valbuena (OM)
ST Zlatan (PSG)

Can't really argue with any of the official awards and stats. Would've given player of the year to Aubameyang myself. Saint-Ettienne's success mostly thanks to him alone, 19 goals and 8 assists, mostly played on the wing and worked his ass off, while Zlatan was a pure striker and dependant on the star-filled midfield that ASSE lacked.

Young player to Thauvin was a surprise to me, thought it would go to Grenier from Lyon, who was really really impressive during the second half of the season.

Montpellier only finished 9th, that's the worst result for a defending champion in the Ligue 1. Lille will also be crying as they're the first team to miss out of European football next year with their new fancy stadium.

PSG really do need a good RB, and rumors say they want Lichtsteiner. Hands off fuckers! If they don't like Jallet then tough luck, just start van der Wiel, I hear he's world class. (H)

There's Corchia, I've heard Bayern are interested in him, but he didn't have a good season, then again, Sochaux was horrible in defence in general. Rod Fanni and Reveillere both had a decent season aswell. Not better than Jallat, though, and he won the league so can't really say the vote was rigged, although I'd like to :D

Azpi and Debuchy were the best right backs in the league for a long time, but as everyone shining in the L1, they got shipped out.

hah, true, Zlatan was top of the assists chart in the Champions League, but was solely stacking the goals column in the Championnat ... if P.Aubameyang and St-Étienne had had a strong finish to the season (think clutch moments for Champions League qualification), there may have been a case ... but I think even you'll admit there was one very clear candidate who was undoubtedly the decisive factor in deciding the league ...

again, a case of how a player finished the season -- I am referring to Marco Verratti, who I think would have won it had he not missed matches (due to suspension) at the business end of the season ...

Jallet? Whenever I've seen him he has been awful. Are there no good RBs in the league?
Jallet is technically a very limited player, but makes up for it with industry and consistency (kinda like Paulo Ferreira of old) ... and that deservedly earned him a call-up to the French national team ... but this is surely a one-off season for him, and his position is one that will be upgraded at PSG (Sagna, Aurier, etc.) ...
