I must say, it was kind of fun to see that game on the weekend. Not often you see the manager who presided over Liverpool's worst run since the 1950s go against Roy Hodgson.

I think he's just about made the minimum 25 appearances needed for Milan to activate the buy-out option ... but just about making 25 appearances suggests a return to being injury-ridden ... and for Milan, in a season where availability of players during crucial moments in the season has been a big problem, this will not be overlooked ... sh!t, even Pato, who is banging the owner's daughter, looks likely to be shipped out for being too injury prone ...

Riccardo Montolivo is joining Milan for free this summer, so unless the fee is dropped to something properly nominal, I think Galliani will be happy to pass ...

Aquilani's story is quite sad, coz he used to be an extremely talented youngster who emerged through Roma's youth ranks (the next ______) ... but he hasn't developed much at all since then ... unless you guys can solve his injury problems, I don't see how that'll change ...

Oh, is that so? I guess that's not a bad consolation prize now that Bayern has no interest (H)

As much as I want Aquilani to become a great Liverpool player, I don't think he's the type of player that we need at the moment, he's too injury prone.

Really? I think Crouch's was better. Sure it's an amazing goal but it's one of those you do tend to see once in a while when the goalie is off his place, Crouch required a bit more technique. (I know it's ironic mentioning Crouch had more technique than Suarez)

The keeper wasn't that far off, IMO, and the shot was absolutely perfect.

Good contribution (Y)

Anyway, as good as a strike it was; I personally think that Crouch's goal was better. A volley like that only comes around so often.

Hahahaha Fulham (H)

So I wondered why Liverpool kept getting beaten by all these mid table and lower half of the table clubs, and then I realized it makes perfect sense because Liverpool now ARE a mid table club.

Today's game was... well disappointing. We let Chelsea play for the first hour with a number of players looking like they'd let the occassion get too them. Reina, Downing, Enrique and Spearing to name the culprets. I think Kenny deserves another season though, hopefully strengthen the squad a bit.

King Kenny sacked. Was always our King as a player - unrivaled performances on the pitch as our #7. But never a quality manager. Nevertheless, good luck to him and cheers for the memories - albeit all those only from the cups.

In other news, I just woke up from my afternoon nap to the news that Downing had made the England squad for the Euros! Who's Woy kidding? (H)
