starting to see that inconsistency that we all know oh so much about as City fans :( 9-0-0 in first 9 home games, 0-3-2 in last 5. and this was a CRUCIAL game. maybe the 2 weeks off weren't worth getting some players back, basically just neutralized all the momentum from the derby (N) whatever, let's concentrate on getting at least a UEFA Cup spot

for. ****s. sake. we're playing like absolute ****. not even Wigan at home? come on. slowly dropping off lower and lower in the table. at this rate we can forget Europe all together (N)

too be fair, i wouldnt get be harsh, imho it was always going to happen. Thats not being spitefull, what i mean is, you did get a hell of a lot of 1-0 wins in the first half of the season, many of which in truth could have gone either way, and your goal difference has never beenup there with the evertons and liverpools who are fighting for 4th, for most of the season its been one of the worst +ve GD's in the top half. So, when these start to reverse themselfs and you don't get those tight 1-0 wins it becomes a bit of a struggle.... Villa had it last year, fantastic start, lots of 1-0s only to tail off when the tide changed, Id be more than happy that you are not fighting relegation again rather than bemoning the fact your not fighting for champions league anymore :)

Happy with the draw with Bolton.

Should pick up 3 points against Birmingham City, and then a tough game against Chelsea - another point would be a great result there.

The midfield doesn't seem too effective of late. Good to have Johnson back, mind you. Elano did well when he came on against Bolton.

Played like rubbish, again.

There's no way we would have lost this game earlier in the season. Nobody (except for Elano, maybe) played with any conviction or pride.

We have the best striking combo at the moment with Castillo/Benjani and Vassell coming off the bench, yet we can't score goals...

A point against Chelsea will be good.

watched the game online, what a horrible showing. Benjani looks lost up front, cant wait til Bojinov gets back, then maybe we'll have some life up front. Ireland is trash, don't know why he starts when you have Geo and Castillo on the bench :| we've played Wigan, Reading, Bolton and Brum and have only managed to score 1 goal.. a penalty. horrible, shake-up needed, Mr. Sven.

Newspapers here in Portugal today take Eriksson's exit for granted and claim he's a strong possibility for Benfica.

Do you guys think he's probably leaving at the end of the season? 'Cause dispite his seemingly not so good job with City he's one of my favourite coaches.

he's a good coach, just needs to get his head out of his ass and stop being so stubborn with his tactics... it's obvious Benjani needs a support striker, so playing him as a lone striker and having him hold up the ball for nobody (until Elano/Petrov show up 20 seconds later) is hopeless. we could do a lot better tactic-wise. Ireland out, Geo/Castillo in on the right, or even Castillo up front with Benjani could work. so many possibilities yet we see the same useless **** every week.

Team got stale through lack of depth. Running the same team out game in and game out is going to wear them down, similar thing happening with Arsenal at the top of the table, while the bigger squads have a lot more to give at the end of the season.

what a ******* joke against Fulham. Sun Jihai's lucky he brings in so much revenue from China because if he didn't he would have been released ****in ages ago. disgrace

well, we wouldn't be City if some way to derail the season wasnt found. SUre we have levelled off in the second half (and lost the likes of adobe_sun :-)) but Sven has done imo an excellent job to get us a highest points finish and consolidation in the top ten - no relegation battle this year. But ****sin ****awatra has to go and spoil things. I don;t like his history and was concerned at his purchase of the club and now if some **** who knows nothing about the game goes and starts meddling when it is unnecessary then we will just keep making dramas when we don't need them. Lets see what happens now... but jeez, like the woman on 606 said, if we had been offered a top ten finish, a double over THEM, some free flowing football at times and a good run in the top four before the season started, along with the points tally we have, would we have taken it? **** yeah. Along with the use of players developed through the academy, some brilliant purchases that would be first teamers in a number of other clubs, ****, we are doing AOK and I personally have satisfied with where the club has been heading under Sven... and the sad thing is, he won;t give a ****, he will take his payout and turn out somewhere else... it was a coup getting him in the first place Mr ****sin ****awatra....

I'm scared of these Sack Sven rumours... it'd be a huge mistake, we've had a franchise-best season no doubt, and although we've struggled in the 2nd half, no doubt Sven deserves another season at least. Frank (Shiniwatra) is thinking way too short term, shows that he just wants immediate profit for his investment, doesn't really care about the club itself. hopefully all is settled and Sven stays for another season

Looks like we might get a UEFA Cup spot thanks to the fair play table (somewhat ironic given our owners track record, both in footballing and non-footballing terms).

Just no manager to take us there.

I'm still furious about Sven getting sacked (he will be, or he'll leave, whatever)... ****in Frank not thinking long term.
