yeah, but he barely scores, or I should say never scores.

+ his shooting is very poor.

Well he's still young and learning, and a attacking midfielder doesn't necessarily need to score loads of goals, as long as he creates them...if I am correct Anderson has 11 assists in all competitions, compared to Valencia (14 assists) that isn't bad at all considering the fact he hasn't played a lot this term......he will come good

Giggs Scholes central midfield? I hate that. Should've been Fletcher in the middle. We need energy in the middle of the park.

EDIT: Fletcher's there. 4-5-1. my bad. No Carrick again...

Not a bad first half, but we should've done better with our few chances.

Valencia really pissed away a good chance, he should've put it through to Berbatov or at the very least tried to cut in when the defender got there.

Berbs is doing nothing to help himself so far.

Berbatov is playing very well but he's not getting any of his shots on target. Real shame. He's got into opportunities which he would have undoubtedly scored in the Tottenham jersey.

He's a confidence player, and he's never really looked at ease with us. If he just allowed himself to play his normal game he'd be fine.

Didn't really do anything until the thirtieth minute, before then we were cancelling each other out.

As for the slipping, I blame those new boots - they don't give the proper traction.

WTF was Rafael doing there? He just had to chest the ball instead of stupidly trying to get his foot to it... He costs us a goal once again.

EDIT: Nani! BEAUTY!

Rafael made the mistake of leaving the post. We needed the two penalties to see off a very dangerous Spurs side. I don't think there could be any complaints about the decisions - both penalties.

Another big hurdle cleared, and once again we must hope for a bit of luck elsewhere.

We honestly didn't look the best today. We got lucky to get two penalties, though I must say Tottenham can't complain, both were clear penalties.

Everyone was slipping all over the field today, maybe they put too much water down before the game?

Kiko looked good, I'd like to see him get more chances ahead of Berbs

A win is a win though. Now the pressure is back on Chelsea.

P.S. Giggs now has 102 Premiership goals for us, leading all time...but Rooney is only 11 back with 91. Provided he stays with us he will surely eclipse that record next season, which will be impressive for someone of his age.

Berbs is such a weird player. He looks exceptionally good at times, so silky, full of skill. He's easily our best player in that department. Then other times you just think what the hell is he doing.

As the commentators pointed out he's also had 12 goals in 21 starts.

Part of me wants him to stay because there no denying his skill but at the same time it would be nice to get another goal scorer.

I don't think SAF will sell him either way you look at it.

Good second half performance, apart from his mistake Rafael had a good game. He was really relieved when Nani scored, did anyone see him scream when Nani scored? Apart from him, Nani and Berbs had a good game aswell. Berbs is more of a link-up striker and we benefit more from him when he plays alongside another striker. It isn't a coincidence that he got better when Macheda came in.....Macheda had a great impact once again, he'll surely be a great player for us.....two games left...I hope Stoke can get something out of their game against the Renties, but I am not counting on it.....the Dippers have a major role to play into deciding who will be the champs....

Better to sell him now and at least get some return on the investment then let him rot away and have his production continue to decline and then not be able to sell him for anything.

I was hoping Hargreaves would get in the game today, maybe he would've if they hadn't had to use an unexpected sub for Evra.

ok, I said before Rafael made a stupid mistake but I'm sure he'll learn about it and won't do that again hopefully. VDS didn't move at all simply because he knew Rafael was exactly there. Other than that I think he did brilliantly against Bale and Modric. He's getting better and better but still too naive. Give him 2-3 years. He could become as good as Evra.

Overall I think Vidic was our best player today. Made some crucial interceptions and stopped Tottenham players from penetrating the box. What an important player he is to us.

I have a feeling Hargreaves is gonna play against Stoke or Sunderland. I'm pretty sure he would've come on today had we been leading 3-0 early or something. Tottenham is not a good team to play against after you've been out for 2 years. Still a good sign seeing him on the bench. He would fit brilliantly in a 4-5-1 formation with Rooney up front. Have him at the DM position, giving Scholes more creative freedom and Fletcher could play as a box to box midfielder.

As for Berbatov, he wasn't decisive once again. Very disappointing. I thought he did very well overall but he failed in doing what he should have done: getting the ball on target. He contributed in the first penalty with that fantastic backheel.

I disagree..I thought berbatov had a good game. He was getting into good positions and his general play was good. Although..he could have done better with the chances.

Apart from that mistake, rafael was excellent. He will learn from these mistakes. His celebration was class...pure raw emotion and also relieved.

Vidic was a monster. He has been in superb form. I heard Rooney is out for the season.
