Doesn't matter now, we've cleared the hurdle.

We should dispatch our last two opponents without Rooney's aid with no problem.

O god, you didn't just say that! If we lose i'm blaming the jinx on you :innocent_smile_1:

I disagree..I thought berbatov had a good game. He was getting into good positions and his general play was good. Although..he could have done better with the chances.

I said exactly the same thing about Berbatov in other words. How can you disagree then lol. I said "I thought he had a very good game but shame he couldn't get his chances on target". In which part of that do you disagree?

Help?

Carrick could have atleast moved his ass and jumped a bit on the goal. How are you going to mark a player in the center of the box and not even attempt a jump?

Good win today, we looked far better than Tottenham and totally deserved. With this lineup though, you just don't get a feeling that you can score any second and player seem to be putting a lot of effort to get one goal.

I think there's a major placebo effect going on with Berbatov on the whole. You got people saying he's lazy, although the stats don't reflect that and he actually runs a lot.

You got the media booming on about it. Even we discuss his lack of goals etc and yet he scored 12, not had many chances, had lots of stops and starts, and had lots of elements that would perhaps have a derogatory effect on him. like today giggs taking the penalties, crocked players being picked before him etc.

Its a odd one for sure. He really puzzles me.

Have faith!

Besides, the title is out of our hands. Without Chelsea dropping points somewhere it doesn't matter what we do.

Looks like its going down to the wire after all. Funny how every time when one of us manages to get a comfortable lead at the top, we screw things up and it gets exciting again. :p

Damn Spurs, although I didn't expect them to get anything against Utd(even after leading 2-0 last season), after seeing how good they were against us and Arsenal gave me a glint of hope.

With the Spurs losing and City drawing Liverpool's chances of getting the last CL ticket has improved, the difference is just 4 points......more reason for them to give the Renties a hell of a game.....

oh..you mentioned he was "very disappointing". I dont think he was. You could see he was putting in effort and gave his best.

I meant the outcome of his efforts was disappointing. It was. Well, except from the backheel to Evra which gave us the first penalty. Maybe I should have clarified that in the first post.

It's actually 6 points, if you include the Goal difference

Let's take a look at the number of goals this season (all competitions)

Rooney: 34
Berbatov: 12
Mr Own goal: 11
Owen: 9
Valencia: 7
Scholes: 7
Giggs: 6
Gibson: 5
Nani: 5

Other than Rooney, Sir Own Goal and Berbatov, goals have come from several our players which is not bad. Owen's has scored 3 goals in around 600 minutes which is 1 goal every 200 minutes (2 games). Good backup player.

Btw, I have a feeling there has been some food contamination which led to several players puking today. I don't think its the temperature. They should be fine before the next game though I guess.

:D

And here's something else that I found:

Little Kai Wayne Rooney with a United shirt with "MY DAD" on the back. That was Rooney watching the game today from the box.

Aaaawwww, Papa Rooney's brought the kid to his first game.
I think Old Trafford needs to come up with a new chant for 'Papa Rooney.' After all, he is getting to be one of the more senior players on the team. ()

Gutted for rooney really...he always has this "knack" for picking up injuries during good goalscoring form. Would have been nice for him on a personal level to win the golden boot. Drogba is just a goal behind him with 2 games to go.

Chelsea are murdering Stoke, Fat Frank's just scored their third from a very questionable penalty. The Scousers won which is good news for us - they can still be in the running for fourth, which means they have to play their best against Chelsea.

Oh and Burnley have gone bye byes.

Well it's all up to 'Pool now. If Chelsea get full points at Anfield it's over, they host Wigan in their final game and if they go into that game knowing the title is theirs with a victory they will absolutely smash poor Wigan, probably another 5-0 or 7-0 margin.

So I guess we all have to be Liverpool fans for a day.

A draw in that game would be good, from my point of view. It eliminates all hope for Liverpool to come close to that last CL spot.
