Speaking of transfers, today's name is Gareth Bale. I would assume he'd be a left winger for us, because I can't see Patrice Evra being stood down. He looks a really good player and I think he'd suit us. I know Fergie tried to get him from Southampton (but Bale felt he'd get more time at Spurs)
Question is, how much will Spurs want? £20M is being mentioned in the papers.

I'm worried about the short-term. Fabiano would be nice I suppose but if we are willing to buy a striker of that age it should be Villa obviously.
MikeyM;2857100 said:Fergie has destroyed the rumours about his future. He said the only thing that will stop him would be his health, and apparently he's "rudely healthy" at the moment!
ladylover;2857101 said:Well there's a huge difference, Fabiano would be for free, and well for Villa, clubs such as Barca and Real couldn't even get him out of the clutches from Valencia with 40 mln
cfdemarco;2857113 said:I just reviewed the article on ESPN and according to it, Fabiano is out of contract 'at the end of NEXT season' so he wouldn't be free.
The article goes on to say that he is thought to be valued at 15 million pounds.

I think we need an attacking midfielder who can play as supporting forward as well so Fergie can use him for Big/European matches as well. Someone like David Silva or Gourcoff. Do you think Nani can play in that position, at least he won't cross anymore, and he will have more space for shooting.
About today, I hope we beat spurs and put pressure on Chelsea.
C'mon United.
