I hate to say but that shot of Rooney in the home kit is a little presumptious - we don't know if we'll have the gold premiership badges on the sleeves next season (and to be honest, I think Chelski will seal it on Sunday  )

That was just a mock-up of how it will look in game. That's the original one with the gold badges.

and when it's over we are champions :)

Hopefully.

Apparently Real Madrid are setting their sights on our Patrice Evra this summer - what do they think we are, a feeder club or something? I don't think Patrice will go, I think he loves United too much.

sigh... on the upside ronaldo said he wont stay at real till the end of his career. He plans to move again. Still talks to SAF wonder if its a come back he's thinking of or moving to a 3rd league to try win trophies.

I think Ronaldo's going to be the type of player that keeps moving on because he feels the grass is greener elsewhere. It certainly makes a mockery of his "lifelong dream" to play for Real.

I can't see him coming back to us now. Can we afford to buy him back? If he comes, its gonna be when he's 32 and already way past it. Real usually offload their stars when these players start to suck.

Not talking about being "covered", i'm talking about improving. Nev's way past his best and next season will probably be his last - and more injury prone. Wes is... well... Wes. And Rafael still has a lot to learn.

He's too old anyway, so it won't happen. Meh.

Maicon is 29 years old and would cost a ****load amount of money. He would definitely complete our defence but not a good investment. We would get 1 or 2 year at most at his best out of him. I'd rather have a 24 year old. RB is definitely our weak link in defence.

Rafael has great potential but would probably take 2-3 years before he claims the RB first team spot. I wouldn't mind having O'Shea or Brown there in the meanwhile. Buying a 24 year old RB would block the way for Rafael. That's why I'd rather we don't get a new RB.

Help?

He probably realized that Madrid fans are not United fans and the atmosphere is not exactly perfect for football. United is all about winning, players here have no problem giving up personal glory for the sake of winning, where as at Real its all about politics and individualism.

Latest summer rumour is were after Luka Modric. I'd love him, maybe just the sort of player were after. His injuries are a worry though... with a team that already has many injury problems.

Did he have a lot of injuries in the past? I'm not aware of that. Being out to injury for 6 months doesn't really make you "injury prone". I'd love to see him come as well. He's a great playmaker. But I'm pretty sure Tott will ask a crapload amount of money as they always do  Berbatov 30 millions (worth maybe 10-15 at that time) and Carrick 14 millions (probably worth 7-8 milions at that time). Wouldn't be surprised if they asked 40 millions this time. He costed them 15 millions if I'm not mistaken.

I thought he had 2 long term injuries? I donno. The figure I saw was 25 million, hes 24. Worth it?

2 long term injuries in a 24 year old can be worrying. True.

Definitely worth 25 millions but Tottenham would want to sell him for much more. Maybe we could get him for 25 millions if we swoop him for Carrick. Redknapp said before that he'd be interested in getting Carrick I think.

The Daily Mirror's playing silly buggers. Apparently they believe Wazza is off to Madrid because he was wearing a white kit in one take of a FIFA advert! Stupid fabricated journalism at it's worst.

Marca is reporting that United are looking at Lassana Diarra for the summer (because he really set the Premiership on fire at Arsenal and Portsmouth before, didn't he?) With a fully fit Hargreaves next season, do United really need a defensive midfielder?

I like the sound of Modric coming, a nice tricky cunning player that would give creativity to the midfield (we do have Anderson for that though - if he was played in the proper position)

I had a strange thought the other day, apparently Raul wants to play in England before he retires and could be available on a free. I reckon he'd do us for a couple of years while Kiko, Diouf and Chicaritio (and Danny Welbeck) improve.

I read Liverpool are monitoring Van Der Vaart, I reckon he'd do a nice job for us.

No to Raul, please. I heard he causes a lot of problems to team spirit. Ask the Madrid fans. We don't need any player like that even as backup.

Van Der Vaart's got talent but I'd rather we get Gourcuff or Modric :$ Main reason is the age issue. Gourcuff and Modric are 23-24 whereas VDV is 27. I wouldn't mind VDV though. I'm sure we can get him for cheap since he's not a key player at Madrid.
