The Bolton Devils!

Aw bless - you probably spend more time on this board than the Citeh one!

Anyway, I don't see tomorrow being as straightforward as 4-0. I'll be happy with a win and then we can get the batterings happening later. Cristiano is off the mark and I'd expect him to add to his tally.

Vida's back and Edwin is fit again apparently. I wonder if Manucho will get a spot on the bench?

Bolton has gotten so damn awful. Here comes "Ebi" Smolarek with around 15mins to go....let's see if he can trouble you guys.

EDIT: So much for that.....Rooney scores just 2 minutes later...so that's your 2 points wrapped up.

Might have been a Darren Fletcher hater in the past, but he really has become one hell of a player.

Should be the first choice central midfielder.

Not too shaby today.

The penalty was non-existant, that's why Ronaldo didn't celebrate it.

As for Rooney's goal, it was a really nice combination with Ronaldo, a good body dribble and a very accurately placed shot. Perfect goal. (Y)

Also, Bolton aren't the strongest of sides, but Nani was good when he came on. He was a threat in every attack. With a little more accuracy he easily would have netted one himself.

^I thought Nani was just as selfish as usual. He had numerous opportunities to pass the ball in dangerous positions but decided to either dribble or shoot...He needs to learn to lift his head up.

Penalty was a complete joke...I don't know what the ref was thinking during this game tbh

Guys Guys and gays....
I have a question....

"Is there any option that we can call Guisseppe Rossi back from Villareal??"

I mean that guy is playing really great for them and I have no clue why fergie lost his balls to sell such an upcoming ace...
tht was the worst ever decision made by united.

it would have been great to have rooney, tevez, berb and rossi..instead of manucho

We SOLD Rossi to Villareal, he's their player - but United did insist on being given first refusal if Villareal ever sell him. Rossi asked to go by the way because he wanted first team football.

Great result last night - masterstroke by Sir Alex to bench Rooney, looks like it gave him the kick up the backside he needed as far as goalscoring. Ronaldo was taken down after the ball - so it shouldn't have been a penalty, but with the number refused us so far, I'll take it. BBC were on about it being a complete dive - having seen it I don't think it was.

It was Mikey, and everyone knows it. It's not just the BBC who were unanimous in their opinions by the way, it is everyone who has a view on the matter.

My Man U mates were actually embarrassed about such a blatent piece of cheating from Ronaldo once again. He's a diver and a cheat, and the worst thing about it is that he does not give a sh!t about it either. That is classless, but thats Ronaldo so what else is new huh?

If the ref gave the penalty in the belief that Ronaldo was fouled, then he needs to be sacked, considering the view he had. Either that, or he gave the penalty even though he knew it was not a penalty. Those are the only two reasons for such a decision, and both bring the refs integrity and honesty into question.

Add this refereeing fiasco to last week's fiasco at Stamford Bridge, when the ref called full time long before injury time was up, therefore refusing Chelsea a very good chance of winning the game in the final moments with a direct free kick on the edge of Man U's area.

The pattern of events so far this season in Uniteds favour are there for all to see once again.

At the end of the day, if Ronaldo was an honest player, this controversy would not even exist. It's that simple.

Not a bad weekend, City lost as well.
We're playing Aalborg on Tuesday so hopefully we can get our CL season on track as well.

Help?

Did Ronaldo ask for the penalty when he fell, did he even lift 1 finger to the ref? When was the last time you saw a player win a dodgy penalty and tell the ref that he shouldn't award it? Call it payback for all the clear-cut penalties not awarded to us last season, with 2 of them costing us a VERY likely treble.

Just because Ronaldo has a strong history of diving, doesn't mean that yesterday was a dive. Samuel quite clearly got both of Ronaldo's legs at the same time as he got the ball.
