a crushing blow for arsenal with the loss to spartak moscow in the 2nd leg of the semi final of the d1 cup,a understrenght side which included my second string back 4 of svard hoyte campbell and clichy who played due to massive fatigue through the squad couldnt form a cohesion and resulted in a leaky defense,svard 1st game ever for me,it proved to much to ask for the fledling alliance and the end result was 3-1 to spartak

things picked up though straight away with a crushing defeat of ajax in a hostile amsterdam arena,2 beauties by henry in the first half and a absolute stunning goal from rising talent martins,sprinted on to a through ball from henry and with defenders closing he chipped the ball with the outside of his left foot right into the top corner,

martins then hit a stunning volley which was disallowed for offside but pennant put the gloss on a fine away performance with a lovely individual run and goal,he then setted up martins for his second in a thoroughly convinvincing 5-1 victory

van persie and bergkamp called up to holland's national squad

Boy oh boy!!! PAULIE, WE8 (PES4 for you) sounds a that little bit deeper. Your reports have me wanting the game like crazy. Remember I'm still playing WE7(renting) but I get my WE8 in a couple weeks. So it's true that players can get called up for INTL team play, that is a great addition.

My ML story

I started out two months ago... playing on 5*. I am currently playing my 4th season with Ajax.

I choose Ajax (with original players) as my ML team... What I wanted to know was: how would the original Ajax team develop in the next coming years? I have the intention to play only with the original Ajax players as they are in PES at the moment, and not to buy any other player..

The first season in D2 was a season for me to get acquainted with the team, strategy and players. I didn't have the illusion I would get promoted to D1 in my first season. So I played freely and experimented a lot with strategy and players. I soon noticed that young players were getting more experience points after playing a match. And because Ajax has a very young team, I reckoned this team could be a champion.

A few players like, Johnny Heitinga, Rafael van der Vaart, Maarten Stekelenburg, Maxwell and Wesley Sneijder, already had good to very good stats, and all where in their late teens and early twenties. So they still had some development left. Especially Heitinga and van der Vaart, they are potential super stars. Besides the above players, there are a few young talented players, like Thomas Vermaelen, Tom de Mul, Daniel de Ridder, Anthony Obadai and Nigel de Jong. Aging between 17 and 19 they would get a bit more attention concerning development. Ajax just has three players older than 28 (Galasek, Vonk and Anastasiou). Therefore I was a bit concerned about the balance of the team. You need older more experienced (or leaders) players to balance the team. Because the majority is so young this could become a problem. One thing was certain from the start; Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be my number one striker. Young, powerful and skilled but sometimes a bit rough.

After a few matches the starting line-up was as follows:

Lobont

Grygera Heitinga Escude Maxwell

Sneijder Galasek Van der Vaart

De Ridder Ibrahimovic Mitea

Subs.: De Mul, Pienaar, Obodai, Vermaelen, Stekelenburg, Sonck, De Jong, O’brien, Anastasiou, Vonk.

During matches all the young players would get a chance to show what they’ve learned. Especially De Mul and Vermaelen were making good progress. As well as de Ridder who soon became a starter. Ibrahimovic had a tough start although support from Sneijder and van der Vaart was suburb. Nonetheless Zlatan made a few important goals for Ajax.

As mentioned earlier I didn’t expect a lot of Ajax in their first season. The Division Cup was a disaster, being knocked out in the first round by ADO Den Haag after 2 matches and penalties. The league went a lot better, ended as 4th just 6 points less than the leader. A lot of players managed to develop them selves very well. In season number two the youngsters would get more chances of playing games and even become starters. The goals were set for season two in D2, promote to D1, and provide a leading top scorer.

update:

with the first transfer period having arrived i decided to enter the market and continue arsenal's tradition of uncovering raw talent

ben arfa and fabregas(who the manager sold initially believing to be some1 else) sign immeditaely,bulgarian bojinov signs after a wage increase.

with pires injured for the upcoming home tie against bochum the left footed ben arfa starts for him on the right and bojinov is also thrown into the thick of things replacing the impressive martins up front, the back 4 stays the same with lauren,metzelder,toure and cole.gerrard,viera and van persie also play while henry partners bojinov.

ben arfa impresses with his crossing and passing but struggles for pace,bojinov is full of running and proves to be a very direct player but unfortunately fails to score the goal his endavours deserve.it proves to be the rising star van persie who scores almost telling the fans not to forget about him in the light of recent signings.

the following game witnesses the beginning of the second half of the season with a home tie against the steely birmingham.pires returns after injury as does martins up front,in the 76th minute the goal finally comes with disappointing martins latching on to a henry through ball,he is subbed afterwards for bojinov.fabregas and clichy also appear too,clichy acceleration now risen to 90 as has his speed,fabregas shows some fine touches,clearly fabregas,clichy and van persie show more subtlety and cleverness than the bojinov who tends to try to impress too much with his speed,very much a'raw' talent at the mo,

good birmingham performances from julian gray and forssell warrant extra observation for possible future signings,game finishes 1-0 with another injury to pires(1 week).

like some other people here, in my ML, i used the default ML team, Castolo, Barota, Minanda, etc....

i think they are the worst footballers to ever become pros, anyways, ive been selling them or firing them for doing stupid stuff, and buying youngsters...

My players...

GK - Casillas stats are still high despite steady decline. In a season or two his spot will go to Cech.

RCB - Heitinga stats are looking amazing so far. He will hold this position for a long time. Woodgate will be his sub until I a new star is born.

CB - Samuel with a 99 defence stat will hold his spot until Hierro is ready. At which point I will bench Chivu and play Samuel as a LCB.

LCB - His stats are really good, but he will eventually end up being a sub when Hierro reaches a suitable level. Mejia will be a suitable sub for many years to come.

DMF - I have two of the best young DMF available in the game. Mascherano and Onishenko will alternate from time to time. I can't go wrong with either one.

CMF - Cesc(Fabregas). This kid's line reaches into the orange area. That's higher than Zidane or Ronaldo. As much as I like Beckham, he'll have to be a sub until he retires. BTW Becks has reached 99 in FK and Long pass stats.

LMF - I set the arrows for this position to go forward or back when attacking. RC will serve me better with more freedom on the wings. Del Horno is an adequate sub until I find someone better. Maldini just retired from Milan and he may be reborn next season.

OMF - Zidane is nearing the end of his career. As much as I would like to start him, I can't allow him to impede Van Der Vaart's development. VDV has also been scoring amazing goals that decide big games. VDV will keep his spot until Zizou is reborn.

RWF - Figo is my Idol so there is no way in hell he'll ever be benched. When he retires Quaresma will be a great replacment. Quaresma is already scoring important goals and delivering pinpoint assists.

CF - Ronaldo's stats are ridiculously good. His passing has even improved dramatically. Gilardino will be his sub until he retires.

CF - Raul's stats also keep getting better and better. He's the Captain and clutch goal scorer. If negotiations go through, a young Di Stefano will be his sub.

really raul is improving?i dropped him for owen in my other ml save,yeah ronnie is a leg-end alrite,where you get mascherano from,how you doin in your league?

ps:anyone developed a grudge against a certain team,nearly every year pes is released in the ml theres always a team i find ninja bastard hard to beat,in pes 1 it was roma who beat me on the last day of the season denying me the league(they didnt win it either mind you),in pes 2 it was bayern munich,cant really remember in pes3,in d2 of my season as arsenal it was fiorentina,now at the mo its parma and ahem...spartak moscow

my unbeaten run was halted yesterday after 8 games in the season. i (liverpool, 6*) lost at home 0-2 to bayer leverkusen. ramelow just kept intercepting and berbatov made 2 stunning goals. i'm first in the table, 1 point clear of barca. now i'll have to play 3 decisive games: milan, barcelona and chelsea.

downing and whittingham are evolving great and owen and cissé are joined topscorers with 8 goals each in 9 games for me

Raul Improves for about two years and then you can only improve him in the off-season. His stats don't go down until he retires. Mascherano is in River Plate. I also reccomend Onishenko.

BTW Man U is my nemesis.
