MS Access editing Thread

I added a team into the number 20 slot and it's working apart from needing to import the graphics. I'm getting the same error as the guy up top (where it crashes after showing the team lineup) ... just gotta grab this tutorial ...

Yeah this is the exact problem Ive had with adding teams with lower ID's, and this is why my Access forms havent been setup for adding teams.

Im guessing its the ingame art missing, as the game doesnt recognise the team as created, so it doesnt use created team art, but it has no other gfx to use, and so it crashes.

If somebody knows exactly how to fix this, it would be much appreciated. Please detail it step by step, and make no assumptions on what we already know.

I've tried adding the team and the id to Kit Raptor and importing the kits (Kit Raptor says it worked fine), yet they still don't show in the CC and the game still crashes. So KR doesn't seem to help with new teams it seems

I dont use Kit Raptor to set up kits, i just use it to import them.

What i do, is add the kits in access, and make sure in the kits table, i have the tick box "isgeneric" UNticked for the kits i want in the game.
Then i import the kits with kit raptor.

But what about using a kit that another team uses? I've also tried that and it doesn't work either

I have added more that 20 teams and they all work fine. as it says in my tutorial you must have as minimum, the kits and flags of the team in the data folder. all other graphics are not required nut those 2 are or the game will crash.
maybe you have set the kits but not the flags.

the same, just put the kit file of that team renamed with your ID in the data folder.

I've done my team management via MS Access and it alls works fine...(even the penalty/free kicks thanks to the tutorial )

Now i've just created the Dutch team using Access and added the players....I've put the players in how they should be however I get messed up team formation - i.e. van nistelrooy in midfeild etc. even though I specified that he is right sided striker with Kluivert left-sided foward. Team management just seems to be messed up with the created team rather other teams i've played around with....

anyone got any ideas???

Any editor peeps gonna make a simple editor that uses Access? Like Fed but just through Access cause I'm lost and I don't have MS Access anywayz

Ok guys,

As Hakeem stated above and thanks to his tutorial, i managed to test and nail down the issue. If you are creating a brand new team with say ID=1999, the to make it work you need at the miimum:

1. The Team Kits (at least the home and away Kits).
2. The Flags for the team.

If you do not have one of them, then fifa2003 will crash when trying to play with your team. You might as well create your own In-Game Field Logos and team logos for popus and screen.

Read Hakeem's Tutorial and you should be able to answer your questions.

cant get it from here, its an ms product. only access 2000 or 2002 (XP) works

Hakeem, i've read your tutorial and did everything what you said to create a player! and of course used the lin_pt table to put him in a team and the position, etc. I can see him in the CC and in the game, but he is a reserve in the game, I don't know why, I've made all that the tutorial says! can you help me?? please!!

anyway: did you put him in a created team or in an existent one?
if in an existing one, you have to fix all the teams positions in the link pt table so that your players goes as starter

yeah but with ALL the players of team? you need to hace the 11 starters + 5 subs (code 32) + all the rest reserves

Yes. I'll tell you what I did. Ive created Frank De boer for barcelona. I add him to barcelona and change christanval number to 32 and de boer to the number of christanval. the I enter the game and de boer is a reserve and dani is in place of chsristanval.

thats weird, it should work. maybe its becasue with christanval as a sub you have now 6 subs and thats causing trouble

Get my forms! They make adding playres MUCH easier, as long sa you follow the steps in the readme!
Their is one small bug with them:

When you are finished installing them, rename the form "Link_PTsubform" to "Link_Pt subform" (ie. adding the space).
go to www.fifa2003.com and look for any articles about "Alex Carter's Access forms" on the main page

Then you should be fine when adding players, and changing theiir positions etc.

Yeah, so your tutorial outlines exactly how to add flags? I know how to add kits, but not flags (i havent reall experimented with it though )
