sorry if this has been asked before, but I sifted through the first 12 pages and that took a while (I don't think you regulars on this thread realise quite how big it's got).
Here goes...
1. What is the isDirty attribute all about in the players table (and the teams table for that matter)?
2. Is there a way to edit hidden attributes (more specifically the speed of the free kick bar and assigning skill moves using access (or anything else but as this is an access thread...))?
I just thought it was fast to be challenging but then I played a game with Real Madrid in an attempt to do learn about freestyle moves and found out it moves a LOT slower for R Carlos (I was using Leeds and I want to update things so that Harte is a recognised free kick specialist (already lowered his pace to 2))
3. Has anyone figured out captancy since page 12 (got as far as it being the highest attributed player IF default captain is taken out of the team BUT has anyone found out how to select the default captain?)
4. I used the forms download (sKIp_E's) to edit in access BUT it only works until I close access, when I load it up again I get an error message saying: "Error accessing file, network conection may have neen lost" when I try to select an item to edit. This means that I have to start from scratch if I want to change things (this wasn't a problem when we were talking 1 or 2 players but...). I have tried removing the forms and re-adding them but it won't have it (ussing access 2000).
5. Do I use too many brackets??
Phil
1. It is unknown what isdirty used to be usd for in FIFA. As far as we know, it isnt used at all in FIFA 2003.
2.Speed Kick, i believe is determined by shooting, or other attributes. Either way, it isnt hidden, but just the other attributes.
3. Nope, we think its not in the access files, and only in the dbi's.
4. Weird. I cant workout how you would get that error, unless ur using access, or the database over a network. It has nothing to do directly with my forms, and so is an error in the way they are being used, or Access is setup.
5. Not really, but can i suggest maybe using commas, or working the words in brackets into the sentences, rather than just parenthesising (correct word for round brackets ) the worlds after you say the sentence.
Hmm i love answering rhetoricals..
Cheers
