Can you guys help me with a problem?
I want to create a romanian league so i started to create the rosters using Maniac's editor, but i get an error : "Invalid use of NULL" in Saving player links operation that CC does. I talked to Maniac and i did all the things that i had to do(to fill all the spaces in player linkup table) , but i still get the error.
If you want i can put somewhere to doanload the mdb file.
Please help me!

weird...i get the exact same error when i try to install my team with CC....i told sKIp_E about this....but he doesn't know what to do..

"run time error
Invalid use of NULL"

wtf does that mean?
i have the mdb file for my team to...if anyone of u can take my mdb file and look at it to see if anything's wrong plz do...cuz i've created and recreatd the team over and over again..and i still get the same error

yeah i had the same problem mostly to do with relationships if memory serves me correctly

my suggestion place that database somewhere reinstall CC

reopen the database with the romanian league in it and look at the relationships and compare with an original database

I no longer have that problem it was either a relationship fault or a flag fault

Also it could be the fact that you have put in where the team is for example your using Skip's forms you must go to Link_TF and place the teams either Rest of the World or International like this:

Open Link_TF table, and add a row/record, with ur teams ID number in the team field, and 78 in the federation field if it is a National Team, or 76 if your team is a club (it will appear in "rest of world")

i've already redid my team like 2 times..
i still get the same problem..
i don't know what ur talking about when u say, "relationships"
i assigned the players to a team...i assigned the team to R.O.W.
i don't see what could be the problem..
any more suggestions?
i really need to fix this

I know the problem is now and guess what it looks like you are going to do it again

In Teams form the Autonumber must be number and must be around 1800 not 5236 or whatever it is.

Adding teams with Access:
Go> Tools-Relationships.
Delete Relationships from Teams(ID) to Link_PT, Link_TC and Link_TF
Save
Open Teams table in design view.
Change ID from autonumber to number
Save
Go Tools-Relationships.
Rebuild relationships between teams(id) and link_pt(team), link_tc(team) and link_tf(team)

WHEN YOU REBUILD THESE, YOU WILL BE ASKED IF YOU wANT TO ENFORCE REFERENTIAL INTEGRITY. TICK THIS BOX! Also make sure u go from teams(id) to link_XX(team), in that order and not to link_xx(id)!!!

Hi mate, I forgot to tell you, check out the Kits for the team!
if you have ADDED a team, then you first have to create 4-5 kits in the Kits form. then in the Teams form, insert the kit IDs ....

Or send me the database, and I'll see what the problem is.

I also think they didnt change autonumber to number since they didnt know what relationship was

I didn't do that, since my team ID is from 1999 and above, and the Player Id is from 53330 and above. So there is no need to change that inn my editor... i dunno about sKIp_E's...
you could be right, I dunno....

that null proble is fixed with maniac's answer.
some friends had that problem and I told them to check out if the kits existed in the kits table and they didnt so they created the kits and then it all worked fine.
we've answered this a lot of time guys, come on, between the thread, the tutorial and the two forms with the helps I think therethere shouldnt be questions without answers by now.:confused:

how did you get the team ID so low without turning off the autonumber i thought that was needed so it didnt **** up.

Hakeem your right we should be able to answer everything (unless if we werent having problems ourselves I experienced the Null problem last week and i had several things i thought were the problem including the kits but i thought that would be first thing done).

ok ..i see what i did wrong..
when i created the team the first time...i deleted the relationships and set from autonumber to number....and typed the players id manually...but i forgot to do the team's....now the second time i did it...i did the team's relationship...but i forgot to do the players..

that's my problem..
sorry..i now know what u meant by "relationships"...in MS Access...yea i figured out that deleting them and adding them again by my self a long time ago...
i thought u were referring to the CC...and i couldn't remember any "relationships" in CC..
anyway...i got my problem fixed...i have to do the team as well as the player's id...thanx for reminding me guys

only one problem now...this is the third time i did my team...and i did it with Maniac's FIFA Access Editor 2003...and the numbers are Auto.....is there anyway i can delete the relationships, change to Number, and add the relationships again with his Editor?
or do i have to redo the entire team again with the normal MS Access?

sorry about repeated posts..it's just that something always comes up...

this is weird...maniac says with his editor u don't need to change the autonumber to number because it set to automatically have a low number for the teams and players..(my team is 1999) (and my player is around 53300)...so i'm guessing i don't need to change anything there...
but i still get the null problem...
and i added three kit numbers (with maniac's editor) and assigned them to Home, Away, and Third to the team....i used the GK kits from some other team
but i still get the Null problem..

now...is there any other suggestions?

well actually there is a fifth kit

no use and should always kept Generic in the game

(all teams have 5 kits no reason why)

Tell me when does the error come up? Durring what instalation?

Keep this in mind:
Minimum of 16 players per team
max 30 players per team
All players must have a position in the Player->Team Linkup
